Secondary School in Hemel Hempstead Long-term, Part-Time Starting Date: 8th September

Pay: £33,075 - £45,037

Job Description:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons across the DT curriculum, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, and Graphics
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating workshop environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress and inform planning
  • Contribute to the development of the DT curriculum and participate in cross-curricular projects
  • Support students in GCSE coursework and extra-curricular clubs

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level (desirable but not essential)
  • Be a passionate subject specialist with strong knowledge of health and safety, CAD/CAM, and modern manufacturing techniques
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management, organisation, and communication skills
  • Be committed to inclusive education, student wellbeing, and safeguarding
  • Be enthusiastic about continuous professional development and team collaboration
