Assembly Production Operative

A specialist manufacturer in Abingdon is looking for an experienced assembler with wiring and soldering experience to join their growing production team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in mechanical and electrical assembly, who is also confident working alone or as part of the team in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out wiring of systems and products using electrical drawings and technical instructions
• Participate in the mechanical assembly of components and full systems
• Fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Identify areas for improvement, and liaise with supervisors to resolve issues
• Ensure all health, safety, and quality control procedures are followed

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience in an assembly role, with strong wiring and hand soldering skills
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and instructions
• Effective communicator, able to coordinate across departments and with senior management
• Proactive, organised.

Salary offered is between £24,500 - £26k depending on experience, a quarterly company performance bonus, 25 days holiday, pension, hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm.
