Do you have a background in residential land acquisition? Are you an experienced Partnership Manager with an in depth understanding of the Affordable Housing sector? Do you have an excellent knowledge of the housing market in the South of England? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our growing Business Development team as a Land & Partnership Manager. Our role is remote based but with regular travel and will focus on key target areas in the South including, Oxford, Basingstoke, Reading and Southampton. What you will be doing Reporting to our Head of Land and Partnerships, you will be responsible for securing a profitable sales pipeline including both main contractor and direct land acquisition opportunities. This role will lead the market development activities ensuring the business manages the needs of our customers. Key duties include: Establishing a strategic understanding of the UK housing market and identifying the modular customer base and their requirements. Negotiating land acquisition deals with vendors, land agents and customers ensuring deals meet key bid criteria for Legal and General Modular Homes. Overseeing appraisal and valuation of development sites, liaising with key external and internal stakeholders such as design team members and local authorities. Developing an understanding of our key customers' long-term development plans and providing input to the product development plan to maximise the sale of both Modular products and the broader L&G offering. Developing and managing bid strategies and obtaining approval in line with LGMH delegated authorities. Developing the pricing and negotiation strategy for each bid and leading negotiations with customers to ensure they are successfully converted into new business. Knowledge of the UK housing market in particular; Housing Associations, Private Rented Sector, Regulated Social Providers, Local Authorities and the associated funding streams. Proven track record in customer relationship management. Experience in bid leadership and work winning. Project Management experience including risk management.You will: Have an adaptable style, able to see things from other's point of view.
