About the School- Alleyn's Regent's Park
Cognita has entered into a Partnership with Alleyn's School's Group to create two leading independent day schools in North London. Alleyn's, is South London's finest coeducational day school, consistently placed within the top London schools for academic achievement and a finalist in both the TES and Independent School of the Year awards in 2024.

Cognita's flagship London School, North Bridge House, has campuses in Canonbury, Hampstead and Regent's Park. The Regent's Park and Hampstead campuses will become part of the Alleyn's Schools Group. Alleyn's Regent's Park will open in September 2025 and Alleyn's Hampstead in September 2026.

Regent's Park Prep is located in a historic, former convent on the edge of Regent's Park and educates children aged 4-13. Currently preparing for 11+ and 13+ entry with an expectation that it becomes an 11+ centre of excellence from September 2026, the school draws pupils from across North London from Finchley to Chelsea and Wembley to Hackney and is very well connected with Camden Town on the northern line just a five-minute walk away

About the role
As the Head of Pre-Prep you will lead the strategic, academic, pastoral, and operational aspects of the Department (Reception to Year 2). This includes driving excellence in early education, fostering a nurturing environment, and ensuring a strong foundation for every child. You will r eport to the Headteacher on all Early Years matters and s hape the academic vision and direction of the school.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership: Inspire and manage the Early Years team.
Pedagogy: Champion innovative, evidence-based teaching.
Operations: Oversee daily operations and strategic planning.
Staffing: Recruit, manage, and develop team members.
Admissions: Lead the admissions process and manage transitions.
Events: Organise school events and parent education initiatives.
Inspection: Prepare for ISI inspections and manage self-evaluation.

This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of education and care in the Early Years Department

Who we are looking for:
The ideal candidate for Head of Pre-Prep should be great at working with people, able to lead and inspire colleagues, and build positive relationships with parents and staff. You should have high standards for student achievement, be resilient and positive, handle change well, and work effectively in teams. Experience in teaching young children, knowledge of strategies to improve student performance, and involvement in school policy development are required.

Essential Qualities:
•Qualified Teacher status with an Early Years focus.
• Evidence of high level of expertise inteaching and learning in the EYFS.
•Recent professional development impacting teaching and pupil outcomes.
