Job Description

Plumber Domestic Environments Maintenance & Projects London Weekly Pay Self Employed, Full Time Contractor £70K - £120K per annum.

Due to increased demand in work load, we are actively recruiting for a qualified Plumber to work on a mobile basis to carry out maintenance and project works across privately owned, customer homes in the London region.

This is a franchise agreement for a self employed contractor, to work with the business on a full time, on-going basis. This means the contractor will be in company branded van and uniform representing the business. This agreement comes with a overheads such as company van rental (listed below) but also has a huge earning potential, paid on a weekly basis.

Earnings: Estimated £1,500 - £3,000 per week.

  • £62.50 per hour Mon-Sun 07:00am-6:00pm
  • £87.50 per hour Mon-Sun: 6:00pm - 00:00am
  • £112.50 per hour 00:00am - 7:00am
  • Or 50% of all Labour rate on priced works.

Example Week:

  • 25 hours per week with a customer: £1,562.50 (£81,250 per annum)
  • 30 hours per week with a customer: £1,875 (£97,500)
  • 35 hours per week with a customer: £2,187.50 (£113,750)
  • 35 hours per week with a customer + 6 hours overtime: £2,712.50 (£141,050)
  • 35 hours per week with a customer + 12 hours overtime: £3,237.50 (£168,350)
  • 35 hours per week with a customer + 6 hours evenings + 6 hours nights: £3,327.50 (£173,030).

Associated Costs:

Working as a Plumber within this Franchise / Self Employed Contractor agreement, you will have associated costs, this includes:

Company Van Rental (non-negotiable), fuel costs, parking costs, public liability insurance for your limited company, estimated annual cost: £15,000 per annum / £288 per week deducted from payments.

Provided by the company: ULEZ, Congestion, Vehicle Insurance, Road Tax.

Works:

  • Respond to plumbing service and emergency call outs within specified time frames
  • Diagnose and repair faults with plumbing systems (leaks, blockages, noisy pipes, low pressure, etc.)
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and services on water systems, pipework, and appliances
  • Clear blocked drains, sinks, toilets, and showers
  • Repair or replace faulty taps, valves, washers, traps, and sanitary fittings
  • Trace and rectify water leaks, both visible and hidden
  • Service and replace unvented and vented hot water cylinders
  • Carry out cold water storage tank maintenance and upgrades
  • Install new plumbing systems for bathrooms, kitchens, and utility rooms
  • First and second fix plumbing in refurbishments and minor renovations
  • Fit baths, showers, toilets, basins, and other sanitary ware to a high standard
  • Install hot and cold water systems, including copper, plastic, and push-fit systems
  • Carry out upgrades to heating pipework as part of wider system projects
  • Work alongside multi-trade teams (tilers, electricians, carpenters, etc.) on domestic refurbishments

You will be working with a premium, established brand within customers privately owned homes, all engineers / plumbers are expected to abide by strict health & safety and compliance standards, provide fantastic customer service, maintain a tidy work space and complete accurate reports, certificates, and job documentation via mobile system or paperwork. On top of this you will be responsible for maintaining van stock.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to commit to working full time, Monday - Friday, 08:00am - 5:00pm.
  • Must be flexible with out of hours works in evenings or weekends when required (ie: 1 weekend per month).
  • Must be a qualified Plumber to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 standard or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Plumber.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic plumbing systems and materials
  • Full UK driving licence with under 9 points.
