Job Title: CNC Machine Operator (Trainee) Location: Andover Contract Type: Temporary Hourly Rate: 12.50 (increasing with competency) Working Pattern: Full Time (8am - 4.30pm, early finish at 3.30pm on Fridays) Are you ready to kickstart your career in manufacturing and production? Our client is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team as CNC Machine Operators! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a dynamic environment. Why Join Us? Structured Training: You will receive comprehensive training on vertical and horizontal CNC machining centres. Career Progression: After completing your training, your pay will rise to 12.75 per hour, with further increases possible once you transition to a permanent role. Supportive Environment: Work alongside a small team committed to achieving production targets while maintaining high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Train on CNC machines and learn to interpret CNC programmes to ensure accurate machining of components. Assist with production machining under supervision while adhering to health and safety protocols. Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and maintain workflow. Keep accurate production data and return tools and fixtures to their proper places. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and additional training to support your development. Health, Safety & Compliance: Follow the company's Health & Safety Policy, using all required PPE. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring compliance with documented procedures. Essential Skills: Basic knowledge of CNC operations. Strong understanding of mathematics. Methodical, accurate, and a natural problem solver. Willingness to learn and follow a structured training plan. Desirable Skills: Familiarity with geometric tolerances. Previous workshop or manufacturing experience. Training & Progression Pathway: This is a trainee role with a clear development plan, typically taking at least 2 years to become a competent CNC Machine Operator. Additional training will be provided for progression to CNC Setter level. Pay Structure: Start at 12.50 per hour during training. Increase to 12.75 per hour once competent.
