This role involves assembling and building precision machinery while working to exacting standards. Responsibilities: Assemble and build a variety of special-purpose machinery from scratch. Perform precision fitting and assembly tasks, ensuring tight tolerances are maintained. Conduct point-to-point wiring, cable crimping, and termination work. Fit and assemble complex sub-assemblies and vacuum systems (experience in vacuum systems is a plus). Use hand tools such as spanners, screwdrivers, and ratchet sets, along with power tools. Utilize measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometers to ensure accuracy. Key Requirements: Previous experience in assembling special-purpose machinery or similar roles. Skilled in precision fitting and able to work to tight tolerances. Competent in electrical and mechanical assembly work, including sub-assembly fitting. Comfortable using a variety of hand tools and measuring equipment. Experience with vacuum systems would be advantageous.
