Collaborate with stress, thermal, vibration, and reliability engineers to ensure designs meet required margins. Work with Supply Chain and Operations to optimize designs for manufacturability while meeting cost targets. Support Test Engineers in developing qualification test plans and verifying compliance with requirements. Maintain parts lists, review drawings for compliance with standards, and ensure timely release. Coordinate internal and external design reviews with Product Line Experts, Subject Matter Experts, and customers. Lead or support Root Cause & Corrective Action efforts for qualification, design, and manufacturing challenges. Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives within the Wheel & Brake Centre of Excellence. Approve engineering drawings for components, sub-assemblies, and interface controls. Key Experience Senior Mechanical Engineer Degree Educated in an Engineering discipline. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering. Expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and knowledge of manufacturing processes. Strong project management skills with experience in cost and schedule tracking. Proficiency in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Risk Analysis. Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering presentations to customers and leading daily discussions with engineers, designers, and technicians. Aerospace experience preferred; wheel and brake experience is a plus. Knowledge of aircraft systems is desirable. Continuous Improvement training is a bonus.
