You'll be someone who is comfortable working pro-actively and, managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with Senior Managers, Directors, and BDO's Partners. You'll help deliver accurate and transparent reporting to all relevant stakeholders as you provide long term value. The primary responsibility of the Audit Optimisation Senior Manager will be responsible for the design of standardised audit templates and workbooks. On occasion may become involved in special assignments on an ad hoc basis. The Audit Optimisation and Standardisation teams are responsible for improving audit quality and are so important to the firm because of the high-profile audit quality agenda. Main responsibilities of the role will be: Main responsibilities will be: Act as a major point of contact within the standardisation team. This includes responding quickly to, as well as anticipating, the impact on audit teams. Proactively identify new opportunities for standardisation and optimisation. Responsible for the delivery of high-quality products that are responsive to the needs to the Optimisation agenda. Complete assignments within agreed budgets and timescales and identify opportunities for additional improvement and optimisation. Ensure you bring in the appropriate mix of knowledge and skills required. Ensure that the firm's risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to at all times. Support Partners and Senior Managers in the development of new products. Support Partners with the implementation and communication of any standardisation, including travel to UK BDO offices to support the roll out of new products. You'll be someone with: ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent. Educated up to degree level or CTS. Previous experience of audit quality. Good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements. Working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering. Experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures. Project Management experience. Desirable: Sector experience appropriate to BDO audited entities Experience with listed audited entities Experience auditing international groups and working with other world wide BDO offices.
