Job description An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solution Architect within Airbus Cyber Security at our dynamic site in Newport, South Wales. As a Solution Architect you will report directly to the Solution Engineering Manager on the management of technical requirements; Introduction of improvements where necessary to design solutions and processes; Investigation of any design changes, and implementing them in a controlled manner. Your Tasks & Accountabilities Responsible for the certification and authorisation of all aspects of requirements devolvement, design, design proving, manufacture, integration and testing Responsible for the preparation, updating and custody of the system/ architectural specifications, drawings and other data associated with the design Promoting and supporting system design using a Model Based System Engineering approach Prepare appropriate certificate of design and its submission for acceptance Design compliance with applicable product liability issues in liaison with designated company authorities Providing Technical Expertise to high and low level technical and non-technical personnel Acting as a System Design Authority on a number of projects At Airbus, we support you to work, connect and collaborate more easily and flexibly. Desired Skills & Experience Experience leading complex software/ hardware product development, integration and qualification Experience of embedded software development utilising custom hardware Experience working in an Agile product development environment Experience of all or some of the following: Cryptographic product development; Requirements Management (e.g. using DOORS); Data/ voice communications protocols (e.g. networking, network management, VOIP) ; SysML and/ or UML; Sparx System Enterprise Architect This role involves working within the UK Defence industry, requiring the applicants to be UK Nationals Only (No Dual Nationals) and able to be security cleared to a UK SC level.
