Our business continues to grow creating a real career opportunity for a (Microsoft Application Developer) based in (Birmingham) Hybrid and remote working options available Overall Job Purpose: The Software Developer (SD) is responsible to write complex Microsoft software programs from design specifications; • Planning, execution and documentation of unit tests; • Accountability for unit test leakage • Responsibility for operational engagement with project managers, business analysts, test leads, service architects and technical architects to ensure all development is in sympathy with the design authority • Responsibility for the ownership of all/any failed UAT results and their remediation Description: • To write complex software programs from design specification • To write program in compliance with established coding quality standard of the company • To run through all the unit test cases for assigned tasks and ensure all unit cases tested and passed before release for testing • To contribute to and/or design system architecture • To process the tasks assigned by Project Manager/Project Leader, feedback and fix the bugs • To help the clients in technical support • To self-train on new technologies • To obtain professional certificates if being requested • To implement strictly all the customer's process if being requested, company's processes and systems • To document detailed designs • To document architecture designs for medium complex system or application • To perform other tasks assigned by the Project Manager/Project leader • To attend all regular meetings of the assigned projects Essential requirements: Education & Qualifications • University degree in Computer Sciences, or IT Experience • At least 5 years working experiences in IT software companies • 3 + years' experience in ServiceNow development • ITIL Experience and knowledge is a plus • Working in an on/offshore environment is a plus • Experience working in an agile environment, e.g. SCRUM and/or Kanban Entry requirements Common: • Have strong knowledge, experienced in web based software development in Front End Development (JavaScript, Angular JS, Html, Css, Web Services) • Good knowledge in SQL, database design and programming • Good knowledge about security in software development • Good knowledge in enterprise, scalable application development • Strong system analysis skill, strong problem solving skill • Able to solve the technical issues independently • Be proficient in code quality, coding standard, design patterns, and principles • Be proficient in documentation and UML modeling, able to prepare technical proposal, technical discussion, good in detail software design and can review simple software design • Good at English speaking/writing skill, can confidently discuss with customer about technical approaches or issues in details • Accountable, proactive, passionate in improve self and team's technical skills, strongly contribute to productivity improvement activities • Ability to work independently and within a team to achieve project goals • Able to manage own time in ensuring all tasks are completed • Ability to document and understand workflows • Able to understand of release and project management Competence specific • Strongly knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax (object oriented with JavaScript, HTML standard compliance, newer HTM5/CSS3) and well-known JavaScript, CSS frameworks like AngularJS • Strong knowledge of web service development (SOAP, REST) • Strong knowledge of security in web development including client side with JS and CSS • Strong knowledge of performance optimization for web application including client side JS, HTML and CSS • Good knowledge of cloud based development is a plus • Good knowledge of MS .Net web based development (C#, ASP.Net, MVC, …) is a plus • Good knowledge of MySQL is a plus • Good knowledge of enterprise integration or SOA is a plus Microsoft Azure / D365 competency requirements (Desired): are big plus for applicant Experience with and understanding of the key technologies relevant to the Microsoft Azure and D365 integration solutions, including; SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, FTPS Experience with scripting in the Microsoft platform using JavaScript and AngularJS including; Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions and UI Pages Experience in designing and implementing client facing solutions that leverage the Microsoft platform.
