Food Technology Teacher (SEN) Food Technology Teacher Location: Macclesfield, CheshireSalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceContract Type: Full-time, Permanent Job Description: Hays Education is recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded alternative provision school in Macclesfield. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team. This school caters to students aged 13-16 who are at risk of permanent exclusion or struggling to engage in mainstream education. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons tailored to the needs of individual students. Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies. Engage with parents, carers, and external partners to support student development. About the School: Provides a balanced curriculum, including up to 12 GCSEs or industry-equivalent qualifications. Offers vocational training in areas such as bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing, construction, fashion design, textile design, and hair & beauty. Focusses on fostering positive relationships between students, staff, and the wider community. Committed to helping students discover their potential, explore their interests, and achieve their goals. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level. Strong classroom management skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
