You will be offered exposure to complex, high value work, dealing with prestigious national and international clients. You will be given lots of autonomy, where you will have direct client contact and the opportunity to oversee a small team too. A large proportion of the position can be built around the candidate's experience/ aspirations but as an example you will be responsible for: Managing your own small portfolio of clients, reporting to the Directors. Reviewing of accounts for your clients, including preparation of accounts, consolidations, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns. Managing a team of Assistant Manager, Senior and Junior-level accountants, being responsible for their growth and development. Requirements ACA or ACCA qualified. Experience working for a firm of Chartered Accountants in a similar role. Candidates currently working at an Assistant Manager level will also be considered. Be able to competently review complex accounts and accounting work to a high standard, ready for final director review. Comfortable and competent running meetings with clients. Experience mentoring and reviewing work is a must. You won't need to have hands-on experience managing a team but this experience is desirable. Strong working knowledge of accounts preparation, management accounts, tax, and VAT. Previous experience reviewing work prepared by more junior members of staff.
