What You'll Be Doing Servicing, maintaining and repairing Fire Vehicles, GSE equipment and other specialist vehicles at customer locations. Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment and technical manuals. Carrying out vehicle inspections and identifying worn, damaged or defective components. Undertaking accident damage assessments and producing detailed reports for repair recommendations. Completing repairs safely, efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company Safe Systems of Work. Working independently while maintaining exceptional safety, quality and customer service standards. Completing service documentation, worksheets and reports accurately and on time. Managing vehicle stock inventory and ensuring parts are accounted for correctly. Obtaining customer sign-off and purchase orders upon completion of work where required. Travelling and occasionally working away from home when business needs require. What You'll Bring City & Guilds Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent). Significant experience diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicles and specialist equipment. Strong auto-electrical fault-finding experience using electronic diagnostic systems. Experience working on HGVs, emergency service vehicles, specialist vehicles, plant equipment or similar. Knowledge of modern vehicle diagnostic systems and repair techniques. High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively. Strong communication and customer service skills.
