Job Description

Clements Young is a Lincoln-based recruitment agency which operates within the construction and engineering industry. Due to sustained growth, an excellent opportunity has arisen to join our team as Payroll Supervisor.

Your Duties:

  • Processing payroll and CIS for a portfolio of temporary agency workers and full time PAYE staff.
  • Responsible for ensuring that BACS payments, RTI and AE submissions are accurate and timely.
  • Working closely with clients and internal consultants to set expectations and resolve payroll issues.
  • Excellent understanding of pension contributions, holiday pay, SSP, SMP and other schemes.
  • Liaison with HMRC when required.
  • Oversee and input temporary workers timesheets.
  • Developing trusted relationships with clients through the provision of excellent service and regular contact.
  • Keeping abreast of new legislation and keeping payroll team up to date.
  • Improving processes where necessary


Candidates will be/have:

  • Have experience in processing large scale weekly payroll
  • Experience of CIS would be advantageous
  • Computer literate in MS Office including Excel to an Intermediate/Advanced Level
  • Experienced in working in a deadline driven environment, where customer satisfaction is paramount
  • Excellent communication skills, happy to speak with clients and temporary workers to resolve issues that arise
  • Able to effectively problem solve
  • Able to work cohesively in a team environment

Remuneration:

  • 35,000 p/a
  • 20 days holiday rising to 24 days through return of service, in addition to:
    • 8 days Bank Holidays
    • Birthday as annual leave
    • Xmas shopping day annual leave
    • Xmas 3 day shut down annual leave
