We're looking for a Senior Estimator to join our team working on railway, aviation, nuclear and defence projects. Location: Remote working available, with travel to the office as necessary Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. What will you be responsible for? As a Senior Estimator (Rail), you'll be working within the estimating team, supporting them in securing new work through competitive tenders and negotiated contracts. You'll be responsible for maximising our commercial position whilst securing opportunities that align with our Business Plan objectives. Working collaboratively with colleagues across preconstruction teams, you'll play a vital role in preparing pricing for tenders and other business opportunities. Your day to day will include: Leading the estimating process from receipt of client documents through to handover to delivery teams Ensuring accuracy and completeness of estimates, presenting findings at bid team meetings and final reviews Preparing structured items and quantities using methods of measurement, pricing work under various contract forms Working with the procurement team to develop supply chain strategies, appraising quotations and selecting appropriate partners Identifying key risks, supervising junior team members, and supporting their professional development What are we looking for?
