Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications, drawings, and client requirements to develop accurate estimates for piling works.
- Prepare cost breakdowns, including labor, materials, and plant requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and the procurement team to gather pricing information.
- Analyze tender documents and ensure that all requirements are met within deadlines.
- Prepare and submit bids to clients, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to assess conditions and potential risks.
- Collaborate with project managers to evaluate project scope and potential variations.
- Track project costs and provide recommendations for cost control.
- Maintain relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the piling or foundation industry.
- Strong knowledge of piling methods, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent understanding of construction costing and tendering processes.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
