Streatham & Clapham High School (SCHS) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Head Pastoral, Safeguarding & DSL to join our leadership team. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned pastoral leader to enhance our safeguarding culture and ensure a supportive, inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.

In this key role, you will bring your deep understanding of student wellbeing and safeguarding to ensure our systems are robust and effective. We are looking for an expert in pastoral leadership who can create a culture of collaboration and inclusivity within the school community. They will possess the empathy and experience needed to address the specific challenges facing young women and their wellbeing in the 21st century.

As the School's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), you will also manage the pastoral team, providing leadership and support to staff, and drive initiatives that foster a happy, safe, and nurturing environment for all pupils.

With a proven track record of successful teaching across the 11-18 age range, including A Level, and extensive experience in pastoral leadership and safeguarding, you will be an exceptional communicator, acutely aware of the symbiosis between school life's pastoral and academic facets. You will embody the School's values of kindness, respect, integrity, and compassion, leading by example and fostering positive relationships across the school community.
