IT Procurement Manager

Job Description
Sage Procurement's purpose is "to create value across a sustainable supply chain" and our ambition is to be trusted and valued business partners. The team is accountable for strategic sourcing for spend across IT & Product, Marketing and Corporate categories.

The IT Procurement Manager is accountable for supporting the delivery of specific IT spend sub-categories across the Sage Group, which may include finance platforms, data platforms and other technology applications.

This role is hybrid with 3 days a week in our Newcastle office.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contribute to the development and delivery of category strategies by assessing and understanding internal requirements and supply markets to identify potential suppliers that can meet long-term business needs.
2. Complete opportunity assessments to identify incremental value add to the category strategies and sourcing activities.
3. Support the deployment of the agreed sourcing approach, including developing and leading RFPs within assigned sub-categories.
4. Complete supplier bid evaluations and analysis.
5. Complete effective supplier evaluation and selection processes.
6. Work with the Sage Legal team to negotiate commercially robust contracts which protect Sage's interests and create value.
7. Implement appropriate supplier performance and relationship management to ensure improved and sustained supplier performance.
8. Ensure contracts are awarded in accordance with all relevant procedures and policies including Procurement Lifecycle Policy, Delegation of Authority, Delegation of Signing Authority.
9. Support the inclusion if relevant of Sage's sustainable procurement measures into category strategies.
