Job Title: Gas Engineer

Location: Devon-Exeter & surrounding area

Salary: Up to £38500 per year, Van & Fuel Card plus Benefits. OTE: up to £50000

General Overview:

Our client is one of the UK s most experienced and innovative heating and compliance firms, offering an exciting opportunity for a Gas Engineer to join their team based in Exeter, Devon and surrounding areas, providing a comprehensive gas service to domestic properties. You will work on a full-time permanent basis, working 40 hours per week, and in return, receive a competitive salary of up to £38,500 per annum with the opportunity to earn up to £50,000.00 on target earnings. Plus Company Van & Fuel Card with excellent benefits.

Short term Contractors with own van & kit may also be considered with a pay rate of up to £23.50 PH.

Duties will include:

  1. Undertake the servicing, repairing & maintenance of domestic heating systems
  2. Complete works in accordance with specification and gas safe regulations
  3. Completion of all relevant paperwork
  4. Ensure customer satisfaction and safety
  5. Participate in out of hours works, including overtime and call out (1 in 3)
  6. Work to operational procedures, safe working practices and H&S procedures
  7. Reporting of all accidents, near miss events or potential hazards
  8. Undertake all other maintenance works within remit
  9. Work flexibly with a diverse range of customers

Qualifications & Experience requirements:

  1. Recognised formal training attaining the relevant craft qualification, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent
  2. ACS Qualifications CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT
  3. Understanding of gas legislation
  4. Full driving license
  5. Understanding of Health and Safety and working to best practice
  6. Ability to manage own time and workload
  7. Experience of working with the public, demonstrating excellent customer service
  8. Flexibility
