Senior Accountant
Hours: Full Time
Salary: £47,500 per annum
The Role
The company is about to go on the next phase of its journey, dramatically expanding its client base and services offered. Now is the time to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the day-to-day operational functions of the practice; accounts preparation, personal tax returns, first point of contact for existing clients, managing the day-to-day workflows and ensuring client compliance deadlines are met, overseeing the work and progression of the Junior Accountant being the key tasks entrusted to the successful candidate.
Additionally, the Senior Accountant will evaluate the current workflow processes adopted by the company, suggest and implement improvements in order to drive efficiency and automation throughout the business.
Success in this role will be evidenced by the Managing Director being able to step away from the operational front line to focus on business development activities in relation to expansion plans. Over the first 12-18 months, the Managing Director will be training the Senior Accountant to become the Practice Manager, which will come with more client-facing exposure, a greater level of responsibility, and an improved remuneration package to suit the evolving role.
