Our client is experiencing significant growth and is looking for a proactive finance professional to manage key financial functions and play a pivotal role in their continued success.

The Role:
As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and efficient management of financial processes. You will lead the month-end management accounts process, support budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to the strategic financial planning of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the month-end management accounts process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Analyse profit and loss variances and provide commentary with actionable recommendations.
  • Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
  • Manage and supervise a small team handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing valuable insights to support business growth.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives, adding value across the business.
  • Be a key player in the annual statutory audit process.
  • Complete VAT and CIS returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements.
  • Credit control, including managing credit checks and overseeing debt recovery.
  • Prepare and manage monthly gross profit (GP) reports.
  • Handle new employee contracts, commission structures, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Part-qualified, finalist, or fully qualified ACCA/CIMA
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (Essential).
  • Previous experience managing or supervising a team (Desirable).
  • Knowledge and experience with Xero accounting software (Desirable).
  • A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
