Location: Duston, Northampton
Salary: £24k-£30k (DOE) + £50 per sleep-in

Please note this job requires all candidates to be qualified and hold a FULL UK DRIVING LICENSE.

Job Summary:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Senior and Non-Senior Residential Support Workers to join a dynamic team at a Children s Home in Derby. You will play a vital role in providing day-to-day care for our young residents, supporting them in various activities, education, and statutory meetings. As part of a committed, caring team, you will ensure the home is maintained to a high standard, including assisting with cooking, cleaning, and safeguarding the welfare of our young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support young people in activities, education, and statutory meetings.
• Work collaboratively with a team to maintain the home's standards.
• Ensure the welfare and safeguarding of young people at all times.
• Participate in household duties such as cooking and cleaning.

Person Specification:

• Proficient in written and spoken English for record-keeping and report writing.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Experience working with young people aged 12 to 17 with challenging behaviours.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to plan and coordinate activities.
• Understanding of the issues faced by children and young people.
• Awareness of the impact of abuse and oppression on young people.
• A commitment to treating others with dignity and respect.

Additional Requirements:

• Applicants must hold a valid driving license.
• Prior experience working with young people is essential.
• Senior candidates must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
