Job Description

We are working with a multidisciplinary Tier 1 Contractor who are looking for an experienced Site / Senior Site Manager to join them to work on a project based in the Scottish Borders. This is a high value public sector project programmed until the end of the year, thereafter you will move onto projects based in either Fife, Lothian or the Borders.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Site Supervision: Oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety standards.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate site teams, including subcontractors and internal staff, to achieve project milestones and quality targets.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • Education: Ideally, a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, trade background will also be considered.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate site teams to achieve project goals.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address challenges and resolve issues encountered during construction.
  • Health and Safety Awareness: Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices, with a commitment to promoting a culture of safety on site.
