Maintenance Engineer

Do you want to join a food manufacturer in Leicester making some of the UK's most loved snacks as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer?

We are looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to work alongside the team of 10 engineers on your shift. The site has had over 5 million pounds of investment into the plant over the last 2 years, with a good mix of older and new machinery the role provides some great challenges and use of your problem solving skills.

Our food manufacturing client heavily invests into training and development of the team, and career progression should you wish to progress skills or into management responsibilities.

As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer your responsibilities include:

• Carrying out reactive maintenance and PPM's.
• Using both your electrical and mechanical skill set.
• Diagnosing faults to find the root cause of breakdowns.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects on site.
• Working efficiently with the production team to minimise downtime.

The qualifications & skills required to become a Maintenance Engineer:

• A minimum of a level 3 maintenance engineer (electrical bias) C&G NVQ, BTEC
• Understanding of SCADA control systems.
• PLC fault finding experience would be an advantage
• Multi-skilled with an electrical bias.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
