GSL Education are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Support Worker to work as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) within an alternative provision based inside a secondary school in Boston, Lincolnshire. This is an excellent opportunity to make a

significant difference by supporting students in a focused and tailored environment that caters to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities of a Support Worker (HLTA):

• Providing targeted support to students within the alternative provision, working both 1:1 and with small groups.
• Assisting with the planning and delivery of lessons tailored to meet the needs of the students.
• Managing behaviour and maintaining a calm and supportive atmosphere in the alternative provision.
• Helping students build their confidence, resilience, and engagement with education.
• Collaborating with teaching staff to implement strategies that address the specific needs of the students.

Requirements of a Support Worker (HLTA):

• Previous experience working with young people, preferably in a secondary school, SEN, or alternative provision setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a calm and empathetic approach.
• The ability to manage behaviour effectively and foster a positive learning environment.
• A proactive attitude, with a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures (essential).
