Process Operator

Our client, a leading water sector specialist are looking for a Process Operator to start ASAP on a contract basis. Candidates must have a relevant background as a Process Operator, ideally within the water sector.

Duration: 6 months+

Location: Driffield (Yorkshire Water)

Job Overview:

• Oversee and manage the operation of water treatment equipment and systems following established procedures.
• Ensure the plant operates efficiently and safely at all times.
• Monitor and assess data from the Site SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system.
• Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Report any safety hazards or concerns without delay.
• Identify and troubleshoot any issues with plant equipment and systems.
• Implement corrective actions to restore normal operations.
• Collaborate with the operations team, engineers, and maintenance staff to maintain smooth operations.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in operating water treatment plants or similar facilities.
• Strong understanding of water treatment processes and technologies.
• Experience with SCADA systems and control systems.
• Knowledge of water quality monitoring and analysis.
• Experience working in a 24/7 operational environment, including shift work.
• EUSR Water Hygiene (Desirable)
