PCB Design Engineer

The Role: As a PCB Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of my clients Safety product portfolio. You will work closely with the Manufacturing, R&D, and Mechanical teams to create high-quality PCB designs for production and assembly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and revise schematic and PCB designs.
• Develop and manage PCB Assembly Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Interpret design briefs, technical drawings, and specifications to produce accurate and effective designs.
• Collaborate with engineers, customers, and suppliers to refine and develop designs.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards, company specifications, and project requirements.
• Maintain an organised library of PCB and schematic footprints.
• Participate in design reviews and provide practical solutions to design challenges.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

• Proficiency in PCB Design software such as Altium Designer (preferred) or equivalent.
• Experience taking designs from concept through to prototype and final assembly.
• Strong understanding of electronic design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes (e.g., PCB design for EMC, high-speed, and high-voltage applications).
• Ability to interpret and create PCB designs that comply with BS/ISO standards (e.g., EMC, LVD).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

• Salary: Negotiable based on experience.
• Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
