Job Vacancy: Part - time Year 1 Teacher

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Part - time Year 1 Teacher to join our vibrant and inclusive, OFSTEAD GOOD primary school in Brent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and support our Year 1 pupils as they progress through Key Stage 1. This role involves a job share with AM PPA cover and PM teaching responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that follow the Curriculum for Year 1.
- Support the academic, social, and emotional development of all pupils
- Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to help children reach their full potential
- Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independent learning and curiosity
- Support the development of key skills, including literacy, numeracy, and social skills, ensuring a holistic approach to learning
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1
- A sound understanding of the Year 1 curriculum, including preparation for assessments.
- A genuine passion for teaching and supporting the development of young children
Desirable:
- Experience in differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL
- Knowledge of effective strategies for supporting literacy and numeracy development in Year 1
- Familiarity with current educational trends and best practices
