Job Description

CK Group are recruiting for a Site Service Technician, to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Huntingdon, on a permanent basis.

The Company:

Our client provides resources to the pre-clinical research market.

Location and working hours:

This role is located at our client's site in Huntingdon. It will be Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00, as and when needed a start time of 06:00 may be required.

Site Service Technician Role:

Your main duties will be:

  • Adhere to Site Restrictions to maintain site security and biosecurity.
  • Follow work instructions and procedures for safe entry to and exit from the facilities
  • To ensure all suppliers are managed, loaded and unloaded securely
  • To notify the site Services Supervisor of faulty equipment and organise repairs as required.
  • Responsible to ensure daily, weekly checks of site services areas are completed and recorded as per Work instructions
  • Responsible for safe use of the Fork truck and is qualified to manage transfer use of equipment
  • Responsible for the upkeep of all waste streams are collected into the correct containers for disposal
  • Support and maintain Site warehouse stock inventory levels & stock counts
Waste stream supervision:

  • Support an audit internal or external in the site services environment reporting to the Site services supervisor
  • Proactively work in a safe environment to manage waste streams.
  • Responsible for the Waste management suppliers
  • Responsible for the waste streams and legal requirements and records including licenced regulatory
  • Waste management audits
  • Site warehouse stock inventory reorder and lead time, reorder levels & stock counts
Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have

  • Basic experience in Warehousing and site services environment minimum 5 years
  • Experienced in routine manual work that requires attention to detail
  • Ability to gain or hold maintenance skills
  • Qualified Driver with clean driving licence, (less than 9 penalty points and not banned from driving).
  • Ability to gain or hold a forklift certificate, to meet the equipment regulations
  • Ability to gain or hold a Yard Banksman Certificate
  • IT Skills: Familiarity and expertise with Excel, Word, Outlook and Access Dimensions Database or other similar sales/accounting software desirable.
  • Preferably qualified in a waste stream environment, Warehousing knowledge and system processes
  • Preferably qualified in a mechanical trade such as HVAC, plumbing, Electrical certification registered etc
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of building/or systems, projects buildings and liaise with contractors as required.
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management system.
