Are you an experienced teacher passionate about working with students with special educational needs?

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN (Special Education Needs) Teacher to join a nurturing and forward-thinking school in Ringwood. This is an exciting opportunity to have a meaningful impact on students who require additional support, providing a tailored educational experience to help them thrive.

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment that encourages students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Working closely with a team of dedicated professionals, you'll help students achieve their potential by delivering personalised lesson plans and providing individualised support based on their unique needs.

As a Teacher of Special Needs, your responsibilities will be:

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
• Support the development of students' academic, social, and emotional skills in a safe, inclusive classroom.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and other professionals to deliver comprehensive support.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
• Provide guidance and support to students with challenging behaviours or additional learning needs.
• Maintain up-to-date records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Contribute to the school s overall ethos and work closely with the team to ensure high standards of education.

Requirements for SEN Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with students who have special educational needs as a SEN Teacher.
• Strong understanding of various SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
• A degree in Psychology, Education or in a similar field.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
