This is a liquor-led, high-energy pub that thrives on atmosphere, personality and consistently brilliant service. As Assistant Manager, you'll lead from the front - driving standards, supporting the team, and playing a key role in delivering our packed weekly events calendar. You'll have a genuine passion for hospitality, a proactive approach to team development, and the organisational skills to keep a fast-paced venue running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Managing all aspects of team development from recruitment all the way up to internal promotions Full autonomy over Rota scheduling Ensuring all front of house areas are H&S compliant Collaborating with the GM to implement sales driving ideas Organising regular leadership and team meetings to ensure the RAM standards are being met Liquor and consumables stock ordering Supporting the GM with shift leadership, stock control and operational standards About The Clapham North The Clapham North is a fast-paced, late-night venue with serious character. During the week, we host everything from Neon Naked Life Drawing and Comedy Nights to Open Mic sessions and our famously outrageous quiz. At weekends, we turn it up - live music, DJs until 3am, and old-school bangers filling the dancefloor. With multiple large screens and three Sky boxes, we show a wide range of sport - but we're not a sports pub. We're a pub with personality that happens to show sport. About You You'll bring big energy and strong leadership. You're organised, commercially aware, and thrive in a busy environment. We're recruiting an Area Sales Manager to cover the North Midlands and North West for an established supplier of CNC machine tools and manufacturing technology. This isn't simply about driving around a territory dropping off brochures. You'll be developing relationships with manufacturers, understanding what they are trying to achieve on the shop floor and working with them to identify the right machine tool and technology solutions. You'll be representing established, industry-leading brands and will have the backing of an experienced technical and service team, so when you uncover an opportunity, you have the support around you to develop it properly. The territory includes both existing customers and the opportunity to develop new business, so we're looking for someone comfortable doing both. You'll probably already have experience within: CNC machine tools Cutting tools Manufacturing technology Technical engineering sales More importantly, you'll understand manufacturing. You'll be comfortable walking into an engineering business, talking to people from the shop floor through to senior management, understanding their production challenges and building relationships that develop into long-term business. You'll need to be commercially aware, self-motivated and capable of managing a geographical sales territory without someone constantly looking over your shoulder.
