Marketing Manager Required! Our client is a family-owned business with over 30 years of success as a leading manufacturer and distributor in their field. On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Marketing Manager to lead their marketing function. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will shape the brand strategy, drive awareness and demand across both trade and retail markets, manage a team of two, and contribute to key commercial decisions. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring a balance of strategic thinking and practical delivery. The ideal candidate will be a confident user of AI, applying it to market research, insight generation, and content creation to deliver commercially effective, brand-consistent marketing. Apply customer insights and predictive analytics to shape commercial strategy and audience development. Deliver AI-enabled content creation using Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Canva AI, DALL-E 3, and Runway ML, ensuring brand consistency, IP/licensing compliance, and effective governance. Create AI workflows, prompt libraries, and templates using ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Jasper, and to improve marketing efficiency. Manage digital marketing activity across website, SEO, paid search, email, social media, and e-commerce, using analytics and CRO to optimise performance. Lead content, SEO, and GEO strategies across product pages, case studies, technical content, and Knowledge Hub resources. Manage marketing platforms including GA4, SEMrush/Ahrefs, HubSpot, Klaviyo, and Clearscope. Deliver product launches, trade promotions, seasonal campaigns, and exhibition activity including FIT Show and Fensterbau. Manage agencies, suppliers, marketing collateral, and technical documentation. Lead and develop the marketing team while collaborating with Sales, Estimating, and Product teams to deliver commercially focused activity. Marketing Manager - Requirements: Minimum five years' marketing management experience, ideally within a B2B or trade-focused environment (ideally building products, joinery, construction or specialist hardware), with clear progression in responsibility. Relevant marketing qualification - CIM Chartered Marketer, degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent professional qualification Proven hands-on experience using generative AI tools in a commercial environment, with AI embedded in day-to-day marketing activities. Strong prompt engineering skills, with the ability to develop, refine and document prompts for LLMs and image generation tools to produce consistent, on-brand content. Practical experience with AI-powered design tools, including Midjourney for ideation and Adobe Firefly and/or Canva AI for commercial content creation. Good understanding of the intellectual property, licensing and brand governance considerations surrounding AI-generated content. Experience using AI-driven market research and brand intelligence platforms such as Brandwatch, Perplexity, or equivalent. Knowledge of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), with an understanding of how to optimise content for AI-powered search as well as traditional search engines. Strong digital marketing expertise across SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, GA4 analytics and CMS management. Experience leading, managing and developing a small marketing team. Working hours Monday to Friday 8:30-5:30 You'll be responsible for reviewing customer enquiries, specifications, technical drawings and project information to prepare accurate, competitive and commercially viable quotations. Working closely with customers and teams across Sales, Technical, Production Control and Manufacturing, you'll ensure requirements are clearly understood and that proposed solutions are practical, technically appropriate and deliverable. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to develop strong product and technical knowledge while playing an important part in supporting both customers and the wider commercial team. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate, complete and timely quotations from customer enquiries, drawings, specifications and schedules. Review project information and identify any missing, unclear or conflicting requirements.
