Job Title: Digital Plate Planner / Digital QC Location: Greater Manchester Hours: Day Shift (8.5 hours inclusive 0.5 hour break), Monday to Friday (with occasional overtime as needed) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Digital Plate Planner / Digital QC operator to join a leading print and packaging company. The successful candidate will work closely with the production team to prepare and plan plate files for our production department and quality check files for both Flexographic and Digital printing processes. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and plan plate digital files and proposals using Esko AE and Flexo Engine. Keep plate waste to a minimum by way of planning and utilising software. QC files to specifications and when required support Output and Artwork functions. You will Ensure all work meets deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Candidate Requirements: Experience with Esko Automation Engine and workflow systems is highly desirable. Proven experience as either a Digital QC or Reprographics Operator. Skilled in file preparation for both Flexo and Digital printing processes. Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Repro Operator Location: Nottingham Salary: DOE Company: One of UK's largest packaging manufacturer. Role: Working on carton packaging files for the food industry, litho print process. Our client is looking for an ArtPro Plus / Reprographics Operator to join their team in Nottingham. You will be responsible for end-to-end handling of client artwork, pre-flighting, rectification, proofing, imposing and plating with a willingness to operate as a broad skilled pre-press operative and assist the Repro Manager wherever necessary. Pre-flight and produce repro files / proof client supplied artwork files to tight deadlines ensuring they meet appropriate production specifications Identify and carry out artwork alterations / corrections to assist clients where necessary to conform with print-ready production specifications Step and repeat layouts predominantly for multi version, multi working sheet complex printed packaging production Colour management, colour profiling and curve management Process artwork file layers for decorative finishing processes such as embossing, spot UV varnish & foiling Seek out methods for minimising and mitigating risk of error in all pre-press processes Be part of the process of quality checking from pre release of files to them being supplied to the Plate Room Keep up to date with latest reprographic, graphic design & structural packaging design software & hardware that the company would benefit from Perform ongoing process review to present new ideas & ways of working in conjunction with the Repro Manager. Experienced S chool Reprographics Operators/ Officers needed for school in North & East London If you're coming from a school's background, you will be familiar with the processes of: Sending out and updating information on letters Updating SIMS MIS system with relevant information Printing off student and staff ID cards Liaise with finance & facilities to place orders for curriculum resources. To report printer problems and place orders for ink. Photocopy material for school use, including internal examination papers and other booklets and leaflets as required. Photocopy students work as requested, ring bind assessment folders, laminate sheets and advise on the presentation and layout formats. Monitor the use of photocopying paper and liaise with the facilities and finance team regarding its replenishment and ordering. To proofread/ edit all external correspondence such as parent/carer letters and reports. To design and coordinate stakeholder communication pieces such as the half termly newsletter and parent/carer calendar.
