Our well established client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Gas Service Engineer to join them on a full time, permanent basis You are required to travel to and work at various locations within the UK, predominantly the West & East Midlands £50,000 - £55,000 Monday Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours per week) This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS and employment reference checks Summary of Duties: Service and maintenance of gas appliances within both commercial and domestic properties. Boiler fault finding experience within both commercial and domestic properties. Requirements: Gas experience within the commercial sector e.g. Analysing, fault finding, service, repair and maintenance on gas/heating installations and appliances. Working knowledge of test equipment including an electrical multi-meter Flexible approach: Due to customer demands, the ability to work additional hours over and above contracted hours if and when required, where overtime would be payable. Be part of the emergency call out team on a rota basis To promote a positive and professional attitude to all customers and staff. Self- motivated and able to work under own initiative as well as within a team. Willing to undertake further training/development within the post as required. The ability to communicate effectively with tenants and other members of the public. Full UK (Clean) Driving Licence Qualifications Required: ACS CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, CDGA1, CIGA1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, CORT1, COMCAT Benefits Review after probationary period. Paid door to door less 30 minutes travel and 1 hour lunch per day. Overtime at time and half. Role Overview - Gas Service and Breakdown Engineer The primary responsibility of our Gas Engineers will be to maintain and repair heating systems in clients properties. They will ensure that heating and hot water systems operate efficiently and safely, and that any repairs are completed in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with strong technical skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to delivering quality service. Youll be working across a variety of environments and must be comfortable adapting to different settings and client needs. Key Responsibilities Carry out service and maintenance works on a variety of domestic properties across the region Ensure high levels of customer care in dealing with clients and tenants to meet required quality standards Communicate updates and progress of work, completing required paperwork electronically and manually Ensure all Health and Safety requirements and legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and COSHH Records, are adhered to during daily work Comply with stock ordering and auditing procedures so relevant parts are available to fulfil job requirements Skills & Experience Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications.
