Lead the broader design, development and testing of the production aircraft fuel system include low pressure and high-pressure fuel pumps, fuel metering and measurement systems, filtration systems Lead the creation of detailed CAD models and engineering drawings for the fuel system components (fuel nozzles, fuel pumps, valves, fuel lines, etc.) Carrying out concept development for fuel systems Using hand calculations, simulation methods, modelling tools and CAE tools to size, analyse and optimise fuel system Ensure fuel system designs comply with certification requirements and internal specifications Be aware of emerging technologies and materials to enhance fuel system performance Carry out concept design of mechanical systems using PTC Creo Develop part and system testing plans. Support in-house prototype build Support test equipment development and system testing. As Fuel System Senior Design Engineer - you will have; BSc/BEng in Engineering (or equivalent experience) Proven design experience with fuel systems and associated components Proficient in modelling parts & assemblies in CAD Proficient in carrying out engineering calculations and the use of modelling and simulations software. The company design, develop and manufacture their products in the UK. With extensive financial backing and a growing order book they are seeking to grow their engineering team and require a Fuel System Senior Design Engineer to join their team. The Fuel System Senior Design Engineer will work with an engineering team to develop mechanical design schemes and detailed designs of the fuel control system for a gas turbine engine along with the helicopter fuel system components & assemblies.
