About the role The Maintenance Team is responsible for day-to-day maintenance and on-going site support services and maintenance of metering, pay-as-you-go and related IT equipment and for some sites we also are responsible for maintenance of the whole energy network. Following documented workflows & processes and working with key supply partners, the Senior Commercial Gas Engineer will carry out maintenance and repairs on the commercial heating systems, commissioning, commercial gas safety checks and Heat Interface fault detection & remedy and maintenance of heat metering equipment to the domestic heating sector. Much of this role includes working in the built environment on multi- million-pound construction schemes and in people's homes. The Senior Commercial Gas Engineer will also support with the development and growth of a team of Commercial Gas Engineers, working with the Head of Maintenance to build, develop and provide technical support. The role is a support function to our Maintenance team and Client Services; the role is a vitally important aspect to maintaining Insite great reputation for customer service & quality and delivering our ambitious growth plans. Specific responsibilities include: Developing a team of Commercial Gas Engineers. Maintenance of metering and billing systems and heating and cooling systems. This is not essential but preferred. Must hold NVQ level 2 or higher plumbing and heating. Desirable to hold NIC 18 th edition in domestic wiring (or equivalent) but, not essential. Experience and knowledge of heating control systems is also preferred. Previous experience in a service and maintenance environment Excellent verbal communication skills. Experience of writing reports and completing job cards to a high standard Confident and experienced in using a laptop/ tablet including inputting and uploading data. Understanding of communal/district heating schemes. Must hold CSCS card (or able to get one). SMSTS or SSSTS H&S desirable. Full, clean driving licence is essential.
