Cover Supervisor/ HLTA Cardiff Prospero teaching are working with a Welsh medium secondary School in Cardiff. Your role is to build a connection with the young people and act and a mentor and role model for the students as well as leading classes and organising tasks throughout the day. You must have a strong cover supervisor, TA or Tutoring background with students. The role will see you using lots of mentoring skills (similar to that used in sports, drama, counselling) to help the individual engage with the school. You will support the pupil in the classroom and out of the classroom on a more vocational basis. The position is open to all experienced and those who have a strong background in mentoring children and young adults. Depending on performance, the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position. Your role is to build a connection with the young people and act and a mentor and role model for the students as well as leading classes and organising tasks throughout the day. Academics are hiring a cover supervisor to fulfil a full-term post in Cardiff. The post will commence from the 9th January and will run until the end of the academic year. There are opportunities for 2023/24 contract extensions if applicants look to gain more experience. Candidates must be confident in micro-managing individuals, in addition to having strong experiences with young people (e.g., teaching assistant, coaching, extra-curricular clubs).
