Databricks is seeking a Lakebase Sales Specialist to help customers modernize their operational data foundation with Databricks Lakebase, our fully-managed Postgres offering for intelligent applications. This high-impact role sits within the Lakebase Go-To-Market team and partners closely with regional Account Executives to drive adoption of Lakebase with platform, application, and data teams. Lakebase gives customers a unified, governed foundation for operational workloads and AI-native applications, helping them move away from a fragmented estate of point databases toward a modern, scalable, serverless Postgres service. If you want to be at the forefront of operational databases for AI and intelligent applications at one of the fastest-growing data and AI companies in the world, this is your opportunity. The impact you will have Drive new Lakebase revenue by identifying, qualifying, and driving Lakebase activations and consumption within a defined territory, in partnership with regional Account Executives and the broader account team. Lead with outcomes for key Lakebase personas - including platform teams and developers, data teams, and central IT- articulating how Lakebase helps them ship features faster, simplify operational data architectures, and improve governance and cost efficiency. Sell the value of fully-managed Postgres for intelligent applications, positioning Lakebase as the optimal choice for operational workloads that power real-time, AI-driven experiences. Run complex, multi-threaded sales cycles from discovery and value hypothesis through commercial negotiation and close, navigating executive, technical, and line-of-business stakeholders. Orchestrate proof-of-value and POCs that validate Lakebase's benefits for OLTP-style workloads, reverse ETL, and AI/ML-driven applications, in partnership with solution architects and specialists. Compete and win against legacy and cloud-native operational databases by leveraging our compete assets, benchmarks, and customer references. Align to measurable business outcomes such as performance, developer productivity, time-to-market for new features, cost reduction, and simplification of the operational data landscape. Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Marketing, Customer Success, and Partner teams to shape territory plans, launch plays, and co-selling motions with key ISVs and GSIs. Enable the field by sharing Lakebase best practices, success stories, and sales motions with broader sales teams, helping scale Lakebase proficiency across the organization. Drive longer-term Postgres standardization and migration within Databricks' most strategic accounts. Candidates should demonstrate how they can act as a force multiplier across multiple dimensions of the business. Success in this role requires strength in four areas: Business ownership - Operate at a business-unit level by tracking revenue, pipeline, and key observations, and by identifying areas needing additional focus or support. Field, account, & customer enablement: Align customers and the field on the value of Lakebase by equipping AEs and SAs with the messaging and execution motions needed to confidently own accounts without specialist intervention. Market voice and thought leadership - Develop an internal and external presence by contributing to global AMAs and internal forums, and by representing Databricks at key first- and third-party events. The interview process is designed to evaluate candidates across all four of these dimensions. What we look for Proven enterprise SaaS sales experience, consistently exceeding quota in complex, multi-stakeholder deals. Proven success selling data platforms, operational databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, cloud-native DBaaS), or adjacent data/AI infrastructure to technical buyers and business leaders. Strong understanding of modern data and application architectures, including cloud-native services, microservices, event-driven systems, and how operational data underpins AI and analytics strategies. Ability to sell to both technical stakeholders (developers, architects, data engineers) and business stakeholders (product leaders, operations, line-of-business owners). Demonstrated experience leading specialist or overlay motions, working jointly with core Account Executives to create and progress opportunities. Executive presence with the ability to whiteboard architectures, lead C-level conversations, and build trust with senior decision makers. Strong value selling skills: adept at discovering pain, building a business case, and tying technical capabilities to clear, quantified outcomes. Understanding of reverse ETL, real-time decisioning, and operational analytics use cases, and how they drive value for customer-facing and internal applications. Exposure to AI-native and agent-driven applications that depend on low-latency, highly scalable operational data services. Prior experience in a high-growth, category-creating environment, helping shape new plays, messaging, and customer narratives. Experience collaborating with partners and ISVs to drive joint pipeline and co-sell motions. This description is intended to outline the core responsibilities and qualifications for the Lakebase Sales Specialist role. Actual responsibilities may evolve as the Lakebase product and go-to-market motions continue to grow and mature.

Morela is proud to be supporting a private, entrepreneurial family-owned real estate group with a multi-billion-pound property portfolio and a private credit book. Long established, cash generative, and quietly one of the larger privately held property businesses in the country. Not a name you will see on job boards, because they have never needed to advertise. And, remarkably, no data platform. Property management, asset management and accounting all sit in separate systems that do not talk to each other, which means nobody in the business has a single, trusted view of what it owns. They could have bought something off the shelf. They could have handed it to a consultancy. Instead, they have decided to build it properly, in-house, and this is the person who builds it. This is a blank page. You choose the stack. You design the model. You decide what gets built and what gets bought. There is no legacy platform to inherit and no architect sitting above you telling you how it is done. Because the business is family-owned, it actually moves: no steering committee, no six-week approval cycle, no business case to defend three times before you write a line of code. You will sit alongside the principals and the operating teams, so what you build goes live and gets used that week. Get the foundation right and the question that follows is a genuinely interesting one: whether the tooling you have built internally becomes a product in its own right. YOUR ROLE Set the direction. Identify and translate the organisation's highest-value problems into a technical roadmap, balancing a robust platform architecture against rapid delivery. Build the foundation. Design the data model that operates as a single source of truth, and the pipelines that store and reconcile properties, entities, leases, tenants, projects, invoices, cash flows, valuations and documents across multiple sources. Connect the estate. Build integrations with third-party vendors across APIs, webhooks, direct database access and scheduled ingestion. Kill the manual work. Eliminate repetitive manual work across internal workflows: data collection, validation, approvals, reconciliations, reminders, document generation and reporting. Ship what people use. Deliver dashboards, reports, alerts and internal applications that principals and operating teams can trust and actually use. Put AI to work properly. Build LLM pipelines for extraction, classification, retrieval and workflow support, with evaluations, human-in-the-loop oversight and auditability, so it is explainable rather than a black box. Set the bar. Set the standards for security, testing, deployment, monitoring and documentation, manage selected vendors, build the engineering culture, and mentor the junior data engineer. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR A strong record of building and operating reliable pipelines, integrations, data models or platforms that serve real users and business-critical decisions. Strong programming fundamentals in Python, TypeScript and SQL at expert working level, covering testing, performance and maintainability, with the judgement to review others' code and hold a high-quality bar. Confidence building robust REST APIs, working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, modelling data, running ETL/ELT pipelines, and making pragmatic build-versus-buy calls. Experience deploying production systems in AWS, Azure or GCP, accounting for monitoring, secrets management, access control, backups and disaster recovery. Experience with production LLM pipelines: context engineering, evaluation, retrieval, tool use and guardrails. Experience taking a platform from prototype to production or working in an early-stage environment with a rapidly evolving product. Mature judgement handling financially sensitive, personal and commercially confidential information in a regulated industry. The ability to set direction, mentor a junior colleague and introduce engineering discipline while staying practical, fast and close to end users. Curiosity about how internal tools can be abstracted and generalised into a product. HELPFUL, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL Proptech, fintech, accounting technology, asset management, construction, private investment operations or another data-intensive regulated environment. Modern data warehouses, transformation and orchestration tooling, business intelligence platforms and internal web applications. Document processing, OCR, search and retrieval systems, workflow engines or human-in-the-loop review tools. UK data protection, information security and operational resilience principles. WHY THIS ONE IS WORTH A CONVERSATION Scope most senior engineers never get. The platform is yours to define, not someone else's to maintain. Direct access to the people who decide, without the layers that slow good engineering down. Real AI work with real constraints, where auditability and evaluation matter as much as the model. The stability of a long-established, cash-generative business, with the pace and the blank page of an early-stage one. We deliver award-winning services to customers across the country, providing specialist metering technology for electricity, gas and water, alongside highly accurate energy data collection services. About the Role The purpose of the role is to work across IMSERV's Customer Experience, Data and Intelligence, and Commercial departments, translating business challenges, customer needs and operational processes into clear and actionable requirements that teams can confidently build and deliver against. The role will also support commercial bids and propositions where required, helping to develop and position IMSERV's services for new and existing clients and prospects. Turn agreed needs into user stories, acceptance criteria and process definitions developers can build from without guessing, with particular precision on entitlement and data rules. Write and maintain the platform's business-editable decision tables with operations as any rules engines comes online: versioned, tested rules that operations can change without a code release. Document how key business and customer processes work today, design future states with stakeholders and quantify the difference. Use data to size problems, validate assumptions and confirm whether shipped changes delivered the intended outcome. Support the product team and technical architect in discovery: customer interviews, workshops and synthesis of what came back. Track requirements through delivery, manage scope conversations honestly and keep stakeholders informed. What you'll need Knowledge & Qualifications Solid experience as a Business Analyst on digital products or platforms, ideally in agile, squad-based teams. Working data literacy: confident with SQL or analytics tooling for sizing and validation, or able to get there quickly. Skills Strong elicitation and facilitation skills: comfortable running workshops with senior stakeholders and pushing back on vague asks. Requirements writing that engineers actually use: user stories, acceptance criteria and process notation such as BPMN. Practical use of AI tools in analysis and documentation, and able to write requirements for AI-powered features, including defining expected behaviour and acceptance criteria where outputs are not deterministic. The judgement to serve several different needs at once: managing time, saying no well and escalating early. Data Science Manager - Delivery Team Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation and growth drive everything we do. Our Data Science organisation sits at the heart of Deliveroo, powering decision-making across product, commercial and operational teams through experimentation, causal inference and applied machine learning. We're hiring a Data Science Manager to join our Delivery team. Delivery is responsible for making sure we have the right rider supply to meet consumer demand at a local level, while maintaining speed, reliability and network efficiency. You'll lead a team focused on areas such as rider pay, incentives, supply and demand, load management and network economics. The work is highly specific to Deliveroo's marketplace and requires balancing multiple interconnected outcomes across riders, consumers and the wider delivery network. This role is based in London and sits within the wider Delivery Data Science team. You'll report to a Senior Data Science Manager and partner closely with Operations, Product, Machine Learning and Engineering teams. What You'll Be Doing You'll own the analytical direction and impact of a defined area within Delivery, while leading and developing a team of approximately 4 to 6 data scientists. The team spans a range of experience levels and is continuing to grow. You'll provide structure, coaching and technical direction to help them operate effectively in a complex, fast-moving environment. Depending on scope, your team may work across areas such as: rider pay, incentives and surge pricing; rider supply and fleet sizing at a local level; balancing supply and consumer demand; load management and network performance; understanding rider behaviour, including changes in acceptance rates; using experimentation to understand how riders and the network respond to changes in pay, incentives and demand signals; improving how different operational and economic levers are used across the delivery system. You'll identify the highest-value problems, guide the team towards the right analytical approach and ensure the work leads to clear operational, product and commercial decisions. A key part of the role is applying systems thinking. Changes to pay, supply, incentives or dispatch can have knock-on effects across the network, so you'll need to reason through these interactions and support informed trade-offs. You'll work closely with stakeholders across Operations, Product, Machine Learning and Engineering, including teams closest to day to day rider and market performance. This is a hands on management role, with a meaningful portion of your time spent on direct technical contribution. Hands on work is likely to be analytical, such as investigating market changes, interpreting experiments and unblocking complex problems. You'll also maintain high analytical standards, delegate effectively and support team development through coaching and feedback. What You'll Need to Thrive Our ideal candidate will bring: Experience line managing data scientists and developing high performing teams A strong background as a senior data science individual contributor Strong expertise in experimentation and causal inference The ability to reason through complex systems and understand how changes in one area affect wider network outcomes Experience translating analysis into operational, product or commercial decisions Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior leaders The ability to bring structure to ambiguity, prioritise effectively and shape a clear roadmap Experience in economics, marketplaces, logistics, mobility, supply and demand, pricing or operations would be valuable, but is not essential. We're more interested in your ability to solve complex analytical problems within a dynamic, multi sided marketplace. Why Join Us? Delivery is at the heart of Deliveroo's customer proposition. The team's work directly affects whether we have the right rider supply, how quickly orders arrive and how efficiently the marketplace operates. In this role, you'll work on distinctive and highly interconnected problems across network economics, logistics and rider operations. You'll have significant autonomy to shape the team's roadmap, influence senior stakeholders and develop a strong team of data scientists. You'll also have the opportunity to apply experimentation, causal inference and systems thinking to decisions that directly affect Deliveroo's growth, service quality and network efficiency. We're looking for someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, can create structure where needed and can align teams around the most important problems. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion At Deliveroo, we believe great workplaces reflect the world around us. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio economic background, religion or belief. If you require adjustments at any stage of the application or interview process, please let us know. We're committed to ensuring everyone has an equitable opportunity to succeed. Ready to shape how Deliveroo balances rider supply, consumer demand and delivery performance? Apply today.

Construction / Building Services Private Equity Turnaround Strategic Finance Leadership. Business Transformation. Operational Impact. Are you a commercially sharp CFO or experienced Finance Director ready to play a pivotal role in rebuilding, transforming and scaling a Private Equity-backed business? We are a leading independent provider of lift and escalator maintenance, repair and modernisation services across the UK - is entering an important phase of performance acceleration, operational transformation and value creation. We are now seeking a high-calibre Finance Director with strong construction, engineering or building services experience and a sound understanding of percentage-of-completion accounting. This is not a step-up opportunity or a role for someone who wants to oversee an already polished finance function. We are hiring an experienced finance leader who has previously operated as the number-one finance person within a business and already has the playbook required to lead change, strengthen controls and help rebuild the financial infrastructure. You will partner closely with the Managing Director and Private Equity stakeholders to drive financial excellence, improve operational performance and support ambitious long-term growth. This is a genuinely hands-on, high-impact leadership role within a fast-paced SME. You will operate at board level while remaining close enough to the detail to understand the numbers, challenge processes and support the team in delivering the basics brilliantly. The Role at a Glance Role: CFO / Finance Director - Qualified Location: Dartford, Kent - Hybrid, with at least three days per week at HQ Package: Competitive Base Salary + 15% Annual Bonus Paid Quarterly + Car Allowance, Pension and Extensive Benefits Hours: 40 per week: 08:00-17:00, with one hour for lunch Company: Pioneer of the British lift industry. Formerly part of OTIS and Private Equity-backed by R Capital since 2025. Specialism: Independent provider of lift installation, maintenance, repair and modernisation services. Pedigree: Clients include national retail chains, major hospitals, leading facilities management providers and Ministry of Defence sites. Culture: Safety Focused Ethical Accountable Quality Driven Hands-On Your Background: Proven experience as a Finance Director, CFO or number-one finance leader within a turnaround, Private Equity-backed or high-change SME. Core Skills: ACA or ACCA qualified Construction or Engineering Accounting Percentage-of-Completion Accounting Cash and Working Capital Transformation Team Leadership About us We are a well-established and highly-respected name in the UK lift and escalator services sector. Previously part of OTIS - one of the world's leading manufacturers and service providers of elevators, escalators and moving walkways - the business is now owned by R Capital. With greater agility as an independent company, we are rebuilding its platform and preparing for a significant period of growth. The business delivers maintenance, repair, installation and modernisation solutions across commercial, residential and public-sector environments, including prestigious and high-profile sites. We currently retain much of the operational infrastructure of a larger SME, while operating with the agility and resourcefulness of a smaller organisation. The successful Finance Director must therefore be equally comfortable shaping strategy, improving systems and getting personally involved in the detail. As a Private Equity-backed organisation, we are focused on operational excellence, cash optimisation, cost control and sustainable growth. This is a rare opportunity to join the senior leadership team during a major transformation and value-creation phase. The Opportunity: Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead the entire finance function and act as a strategic partner to the MD, senior leadership team and Private Equity owners. You will bring clarity, discipline and commercial insight to the organisation while establishing the controls, reporting and financial infrastructure required to support future growth. This role requires someone who can operate strategically at director and board level while remaining willing to work through the underlying detail. You will not simply manage the finance function; you will strengthen, reshape and modernise it. • Provide strategic financial leadership to the Managing Director, leadership team and Private Equity stakeholders. • Take full ownership of FP&A, financial control, management reporting, compliance, audit and tax. • Deliver accurate, insightful and timely monthly management accounts. • Lead budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning and long-term financial planning. • Improve cash flow, working capital, credit control and debt recovery. • Strengthen financial controls, governance, systems and core processes. • Provide robust commercial analysis to support operational and investment decisions. • Develop performance targets and value-creation initiatives across the business. • Prepare high-quality board packs and investor reporting. • Manage relationships with Private Equity stakeholders, auditors, banks and external advisors. • Support the business through restructuring, transformation and future growth. • Drive cost reduction, margin improvement and stronger P&L performance. • Lead and develop the finance team, setting high standards while providing the support required for them to succeed. • Explore opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, AI and smarter use of financial technology. The business is particularly interested in how AI, automation and improved systems could enhance areas such as credit control, debt collection, reporting and finance administration while controlling costs as the organisation grows. About You: You are a commercially astute, technically credible and execution-focused finance leader who thrives in high-change, performance-driven environments. Crucially, you have already operated as a Finance Director, CFO or number-one finance leader within an entity. This is not a first FD appointment or a conventional career-progression role. You will arrive with the experience, judgement and confidence to take ownership from the outset. • ACA or ACCA qualification. • Significant post-qualified experience, ideally including 10+ years in progressively senior finance roles. • Previous experience as a Finance Director, CFO, Head of Finance or senior finance leader with full ownership of the function. • Strong knowledge of double-entry accounting and core financial controls. • Practical experience of construction, engineering, building services or project-based accounting. • A strong understanding of percentage-of-completion accounting, contract accounting and revenue recognition. • Experience operating within a turnaround, restructuring or major business-transformation environment. • A track record of improving profitability, cash flow and working-capital performance. • Strong financial modelling, forecasting and performance-management capability. • Experience of leading and developing a sizeable finance team. • The ability to move confidently between strategic leadership and detailed operational problem-solving. • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills. • Fluent written and spoken English. A background in lift services is not essential. However, you must have experience in engineering, construction, building services, field services or a similarly project-led environment. Your Leadership Style: • You will be a visible and credible leader who sets high standards but also gives the team the support, clarity and direction required to deliver. • Leads from the front. • Takes complete ownership of outcomes. • Is not afraid to challenge, investigate or get into the detail. • Holds themselves and others accountable. • Brings energy and momentum to change. • Is analytical, evidence-led and commercially curious. • Remains open-minded, inquisitive and willing to learn. • Operates with honesty, integrity and sound judgement. • Builds trust quickly with operational colleagues, investors and external partners. • Understands that seniority does not remove the need to get the fundamentals right. Benefits: • Competitive base salary • 15% annual bonus, paid quarterly • Car allowance • Pension from day one through Aviva • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays • Employee Assistance Programme from day one • Death in Service cover at three times salary • Discretionary sickness scheme • Enhanced maternity and paternity provision, subject to service • Employee discounts platform • Employee referral scheme • Role-dependent incentive scheme Why Join? • Join the senior leadership team of a Private Equity-backed transformation business. • Work directly with the Managing Director and investors. • Make a visible impact on cash, profitability, governance and operational performance. • Rebuild and modernise a finance function rather than simply maintain one. • Shape the systems, controls and team required to support future growth. • Introduce smarter automation and new technology across finance. • Lead within a respected, engineering-led services business with a strong market reputation click apply for full job details
