Provide daily oversight to remain on budget for all controllable costs. Track, adjust, and optimise contractor head count to remain on budget. Minimise staff and contractor overtime. Attends & contributes to T/A / SUS scope meetings. Reliability Ensure regulatory & reliability preventive maintenance activities are completed as scheduled with zero overdue. Ensure equipment monitoring as part of the Technician s rounds are executed timely & effectively. Ensures timely resolution of Ops Variance issues. Responsible for performing 5 Why investigations in the field. Can troubleshoot problems and engage technical resources as needed to support operations. P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Fitter to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis based in Leiston. Main Responsibilities: Perform mechanical fitting, assembly, fault-finding, repair, and overhaul of industrial machinery, pumps, rotating equipment, engines, gearboxes, compressors, valves, and associated systems. Dismantle and reassemble equipment using appropriate tools, techniques, and tolerances. Replace worn or damaged components, conduct alignments, and carry out routine servicing tasks. Identify mechanical faults and propose corrective actions to supervisors or engineers. Install new mechanical equipment, components, and assemblies in accordance with drawings, specifications, and engineering standards. Support the commissioning of new or refurbished equipment, including functional testing and verification. Assist in rigging, lifting, and positioning of heavy equipment (with support from riggers or lifting teams). Work in line with company procedures, risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems. Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with relevant engineering standards and regulations. Maintain accurate job sheets, inspection forms, service reports, and component traceability records. Follow HSE guidelines, use correct PPE, and participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings. Operational Excellence & Strategic Execution Oversee the daily operations of the skincare and fragrance departments, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and stock replenishment to maintain an organised, clean, and visually appealing display. Collaborate with store management to implement promotional campaigns, marketing activities, and seasonal events that drive traffic and sales. Ensure operational efficiency by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking sales trends, and implementing strategies to optimise customer satisfaction and store performance, contributing to the stores broader business goals. Maintain the operational standards, including loss prevention, health and safety protocols, and adherence to company policies. New Store Opening Procedures Support the setup of the new store by participating in unboxing deliveries and stocking shelves, ensuring the smooth transition of merchandise to the shop floor and stockroom. Skills: Proven experience in a leadership or management role within the beauty or retail industry, with a focus on skincare and fragrance. In-depth knowledge of skincare and fragrance products, ingredients, brands, and trends, with a passion for educating others about beauty. Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a strong ability to build relationships, provide tailored beauty experiences, and lead and inspire a diverse team. Strong sales acumen, with a demonstrated ability to drive performance and meet sales targets. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and experience in handling employee relations (ER) issues, such as lateness, performance concerns, and disciplinary processes. Comfortable using technology in-store to enhance customer service and operational efficiency, including tools for inventory management, sales tracking, and customer engagement. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons as required.
