What you'll be doing As part of a dedicated Security team, you'll help safeguard the organisation's technology estate by monitoring threats, responding to incidents and continuously improving the firm's overall security posture. Your responsibilities will include: Monitoring and investigating security alerts across the organisation Responding to cyber security incidents and supporting remediation activities Managing and optimising security tools including Microsoft Defender and other enterprise security platforms Supporting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and security audits Assisting with the implementation of new security technologies and improvements Developing and maintaining security policies, standards and best practice Providing technical guidance to colleagues on security processes and technologies Keeping up to date with emerging cyber threats and recommending improvements About you You'll already have experience working within a Security Operations, Cyber Security or Information Security environment and be passionate about protecting organisations from modern cyber threats. You'll ideally have experience with: Microsoft Defender or similar endpoint protection solutions Security Operations and Incident Response SIEM monitoring and security investigations Email security platforms such as Mimecast or Proofpoint Secure Web Gateway technologies such as Zscaler Vulnerability Management Cyber Essentials and ISO27001 Microsoft security technologies including Defender, Sentinel or Entra Professional certifications such as CompTIA CySA+, Security+ or Microsoft Security Operations are advantageous but by no means essential. M365 Engineer - Copilot Inside IR35 - 5 days onsite We're looking for a M365 Engineer to lead the design, engineering, and evolution of our clients Microsoft 365 platform. As a technical authority within the Messaging & Collaboration team, you will own and drive solutions across Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Intune. You'll help define standards, influence architecture, and ensure the successful adoption of AI-driven tools like Microsoft Copilot. Key Responsibilities Act as the SME for Microsoft 365 messaging and collaboration services, providing expert guidance on design and best practice Lead the design and implementation of solutions across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune Define and maintain engineering standards, patterns, and documentation Contribute to architectural decisions, service roadmaps, and platform strategy Lead Microsoft Copilot readiness, deployment, and optimisation (data access, licensing, configuration) Partner with Security, Compliance, and Data teams to ensure responsible and secure AI adoption Monitor usage and performance, driving continuous improvement and risk mitigation Act as a 3rd/4th line escalation point for complex incidents Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews Support change and release management with a focus on quality and risk control Produce high-quality technical documentation and operational runbooks Share knowledge and mentor team members to uplift capability Engage with Microsoft and strategic partners to stay aligned with best practice and roadmap developments Essential Experience 5-10+ years in enterprise IT, messaging, or collaboration roles Strong track record delivering Microsoft 365 / Exchange / Intune implementations and migrations Experience supporting large-scale Exchange Hybrid and M365 environments Proven ability operating as a technical authority and resolving complex escalations Hands-on experience with M365 security, compliance, and governance (DLP, retention, conditional access) Exposure to Microsoft Copilot or AI-driven productivity tools Experience working in regulated environments with a strong focus on risk and compliance Technical Skills Deep expertise in Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and M365 Compliance Strong understanding of Copilot architecture and governance Azure AD, Conditional Access, and identity technologies (ADFS, Azure AD Connect) Advanced PowerShell scripting for automation and administration Strong stakeholder communication and ability to influence technical decisions Desirable Experience in financial services or regulated industries Knowledge of Defender for Office 365, EOP, and email security platforms (e.g. Proofpoint, Forcepoint) Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and Zero Trust principles Experience with Intune / Endpoint Manager and SharePoint governance M365 Engineer Due to the volume of applications received for positions, it will not be possible
