The post holder will get involved in delivering high quality care through two main arms namely the brief intervention pathway and home treatment pathway. The brief intervention pathway aims to intervene during mental health crisis for a up to two weeks following which onward referrals to local Tier 3 services, getting Tiers 1 & 2 services involved or stepping down to primary care could be considered depending on the mental health needs of the CYP. The home treatment pathway engages CYP up to 12 weeks duration during which intensive community based treatment including admission avoidance (to Tier 4 services) will be the mainstay of intervention. The post holder will get involved in delivering high quality care through two main arms namely the brief intervention pathway and home treatment pathway. The brief intervention pathway aims to intervene during mental health crisis for a up to two weeks following which onward referrals to local Tier 3 services, getting Tiers 1 & 2 services involved or stepping down to primary care could be considered depending on the mental health needs of the CYP. The home treatment pathway engages CYP up to 12 weeks duration during which intensive community based treatment including admission avoidance (to Tier 4 services) will be the mainstay of intervention. Job Title: Behaviour Support Asssitant Location: Sevenoaks Pay: £88 - £110 per day (via PAYE) Do you have a talent for building relationships and breaking down barriers? The Behaviour Support Assistant role involves supporting children with additional needs such as ASC, ADHD, MLD and SEMH. You will be required to work with small groups and 1:1 with a range of ages and levels of learning. You will need to be able to adapt teaching styles appropriately to student s individual needs and interests to facilitate enjoyable and effective learning experiences. Requirements Prior school experience working with young people with SEMH or challenging behavioural needs desirable Confidence in behaviour management skills to de-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour Ability to work well as part of a team as part of a multi-agency approach Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all children Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
