Req ID: FEQ427R358 At Databricks, our core values are at the heart of everything we do. A culture of proactiveness and a customer-centric mindset guides us in creating a unified platform that makes data and AI accessible to everyone. We aim to inspire our customers to make informed decisions that push their business forward. We provide a user-friendly and intuitive platform that makes it easy to turn insights into action and fosters a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement. You will be a vital part of this mission, using your technical expertise to demonstrate how our Data Intelligence Platform can help customers solve their complex data and AI challenges. Digital native companies are born in the cloud and build data and AI products at their core, which makes them among the most technical and demanding buyers we work with. As a Senior Solutions Engineer on our Emerging Enterprise Digital Native team, you will win new logos across the UK & Ireland by proving, hands on, that the platform solves their hardest problems. You'll work with a collaborative, customer focused team that values innovation and creativity. Join us in our quest to change how people work with data and make a better world! Reporting to the Manager, Field Engineering. The impact you will have: Partner with an Account Executive and a Senior Solutions Architect to win new digital native logos across your UK & Ireland territory, and own the technical win. Run hands on evaluations and proofs-of-concept that get founders, CTOs, and lead engineers excited. Show the Data Intelligence Platform working against their real data and workloads, not slideware. Meet technical buyers on their own ground across modern data engineering (Spark, Delta, streaming), machine learning, and Generative AI, and integrate cleanly with their existing cloud and open source stack. Move at start up speed: qualify quickly, prove value early, and land in a way that sets up expansion. Make the technical and commercial case against competing tools, including cloud data warehouses, open source stacks, and hyperscaler services. Demonstrate our Builder Culture and our principle of "show, not tell", supported by the latest AI tooling, to inspire customers on the art of the possible. Contribute to Databricks' technical community by developing customer facing collateral and joining workshops, hackathons, seminars, and meet ups. Develop technically and in pre sales, with the goal of operating independently as a Solutions Architect. What we look for: We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled individual to join our UK&I Emerging Enterprise / Digital Native Solutions Engineering team, which focuses on winning new digital native and high growth technology customers. This role is based in the London office, with regular collaboration across the UK&I region. Core Technical Qualifications: Hands on experience in technical pre sales, consultancy, or engineering, ideally with data native or high growth technology companies. Proficiency in a core programming language such as Python, SQL, Scala, or Java, and a willingness to learn (or existing knowledge of) Spark. Familiarity with a core data or AI domain: modern data engineering, streaming, machine learning, or Generative AI (e.g. RAG, fine tuning, LLMOps). Experience with the modern data stack and open source data tooling, and with at least one major public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Hands on expertise in designing and delivering proofs of concept (PoCs). Enthusiasm for building with AI based development tooling such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Databricks Assistant / Genie. Pre Sales & Customer Facing Skills: Proven ability to engage customers in a technical sales capacity: building a narrative, challenging assumptions, finding the real pain, and driving to a clear, tangible outcome. Comfort communicating both technical and business value to diverse audiences, from engineers to founders and executives. A customer centric mindset with a passion for building client relationships and internal partnerships with account teams. Energized by a high velocity, new logo motion and comfortable with ambiguity rather than a fixed account set. Logistics: Ability to commute to the London office regularly. Willingness and ability to travel approximately % of the time across UK&I for customer visits. Nice to Have: Experience selling to or working at start ups, scaleups, or ISVs. Databricks or other relevant Cloud/Data certifications. About Databricks Databricks is the Data and AI company. About Lendable Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We're building one of the world's leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start: One of the UK's newest unicorns with a team of just over 700 people Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK Profitable since 2017 Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot) So far, we've rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers' hands in minutes instead of days. We're growing fast, and there's a lot more to do: we're going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes. Join us if you want to Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1 Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting About the role We're building a larger, dedicated Platform team at Lendable, increasing our investment in the infrastructure that enables our products and engineering teams to scale. We're hiring a Technical Product Manager to sit within Engineering and connect platform technology, reliability and commercial value. You'll own what we prioritise and why, giving engineers the business context they need while helping Product and leadership understand the impact and opportunities that Platform enables. This is a hands on technical IC role, where you'll stay close to engineering through writing code, reviewing PRs and contributing to architecture discussions. Working closely with the Platform Engineering Manager and Tech Lead, you'll help shape the Platform roadmap, connect technical investment to measurable business outcomes, and build the foundations that allow Lendable to move faster and scale with confidence. What you'll be doing Own platform stability Own platform stability as a primary accountability - SLA/SLO metrics, incident rates, release quality. Hold release gating authority: block features from production that don't meet testing standards or introduce unacceptable regression risk. Enforce CI/CD standards centrally so pods don't fragment into one-off solutions. Track and report stability metrics alongside commercial outcomes - stability is the foundation that makes the rest possible. Be commercially accountable Own the business case for platform investment and answer "why are we spending six engineers on this for three months?" in terms leadership understands. Track platform impact in business terms: developer velocity, incident cost, time-to-market, reliability, capacity - e.g. "CXO rollout removes a 3-second API fan out, reducing session abandonment" or "we can now handle 20k simultaneous logins". Input into headcount and investment decisions for the platform team. Own the platform roadmap Own the platform backlog, prioritised by business value and sequenced to unblock the highest-value product teams first - not driven by technical debt or engineer preference alone. Make trade offs explicit: "if we do X now, we defer Y by Z weeks - here's what that means for products depending on us". Ensure every initiative has a defined success metric that non-engineers can track. Be the stakeholder interface Act as the single point of contact for Pod Leads: business requirements coming from pods and engineering/developer requirements flowing to pods; prioritise both in service of platform stability. Make platform work visible to leadership - regular forums with product MDs and PMs to capture upcoming dependencies before they become blockers; represent platform work in leadership reviews; translate technical milestones into business milestones. Drive cross team collaboration and buy in with other PMs; engage architecture in technical design. Escalate when product teams make requests that would create unsustainable platform load or technical debt. Contribute as an engineer Write code, review PR's, and participate in architecture design as a core part of the role - not a side project. Bring a strong technical voice to roadmap decisions without owning final architecture calls (that's Architecture and Tech Leads). What we're looking for Essential Deep, hands on engineering background - this role must be staffed by someone who has shipped production systems, not someone who has only managed backlogs. Strong commercial instinct: can build a business case, speak to P&L impact, and hold a line on ROI. Exceptional stakeholder management across product, engineering, and finance without direct line authority over all of them. Comfortable with ambiguity - platform value is often indirect and long horizon. Track record of contributing as an IC while operating at a senior, cross team level. Proactive, low ego, and clear communicator - able to hold a line with leadership and pod leads alike. Nice to have Experience in platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling contexts. Familiarity with SLA/SLO frameworks and incident management at scale. Experience enforcing CI/CD standards across multiple teams or pods. Prior work making "invisible" infrastructure legible to non technical leadership. Our tech stack Platform & backend: Kotlin, AWS, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes. Gateway & clients: Node GraphQL gateway, React Native / TypeScript mobile app, Relay. Tooling & observability: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jira, Confluence, Datadog, Sentry, Grafana. Interview process Quick call with the Talent Team (30 minutes) Hiring manager interview (30 minutes) Technical and Product interview (90 minutes) Culture add interview (60 minutes) Life at Lendable Winning team: the opportunity to scale up one of the world's most successful fintech companies Flexible working: flexible approach tailored to each role. Hybrid roles require three days in office weekly; fully remote roles include regular opportunities for in person connection through socials and off sites Socials & connection: opportunities and events to come together, socialise, and get to know each other beyond the office walls Health coverage: support for your physical and mental wellbeing, including private health cover Retirement & savings: long term financial wellbeing through retirement savings plans Employee referral programme: earn a competitive bonus when you refer successful new team members Office meals & snacks: enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, plus complimentary lunches prepared by in house chefs on in office days at select locations Sustainable commuting: cycle to work and electric vehicle salary sacrifice schemes available in select locations Please note: The availability and details of specific benefits vary by location and role. When companies partner with JMAN, we combine our data science and data engineering expertise with our deep commercial understanding to deliver tangible, high-value outcomes at pace. Founded in 2010, JMAN has a global footprint with offices in New York, London and Chennai. Our team of more than 350 experts partner with more than 80 private equity funds and over 200 portfolio companies. Nearly 85% of our business is from recurring partnerships with our clients. JMAN has been a portfolio company of Baird Capital since 2023. Position We are a rapidly scaling business focused on delivering applied data science solutions that create measurable commercial value. While we work across a range of AI paradigms, data science sits at the core of what we do, and we are looking for individuals with deep, proven expertise in this area. This is a technical delivery leadership role for a highly experienced Data Scientist who leads with structured problem solving and client empathy. The primary measure of success is whether clients achieve meaningful business outcomes through robust, well-designed data science solutions, not the adoption of the latest AI trends. You will own the full lifecycle of data science engagements: shaping ambiguous problems, designing and delivering statistical and machine learning models, and ensuring they are embedded into operational workflows. You will work across organisations at every stage of data maturity, applying sound judgement to determine what is feasible, practical, and commercially valuable. While the role may involve exposure to Generative AI and autonomous AI, these are not substitutes for strong data science fundamentals. Candidates must demonstrate deep, hands on experience delivering applied machine learning and statistical modelling in real world settings. Internally, you will act as a data science standard setter, helping define best practice, raising the quality bar, and developing others within the team. Scope of Work Our work spans multiple AI paradigms, with a clear emphasis on Data Science as the primary discipline for this role: Data Science (Primary Focus): Statistical modelling, machine learning, predictive analytics, and decision science delivered into production environments and real business processes. Generative AI (Secondary): LLM powered applications such as RAG pipelines and document intelligence, applied where appropriate to support data led solutions. Autonomous AI (Emerging): Agent based systems and AI workflows, used selectively where they add clear value. 75-80% of the role is focused on Data Science led delivery, including problem structuring, model development, evaluation, and operationalisation. The remaining time is spent on client engagement, team leadership, and broader AI exposure where relevant. Core Responsibilities Own end-to-end delivery of data science workstreams, from problem definition through to production deployment and ongoing monitoring. Translate ambiguous business problems into hypothesis driven data science solutions, grounded in statistical rigour and practical feasibility. Lead the design and deployment of machine learning models, ensuring they are robust, explainable, and operationally viable. Provide technical oversight across projects, with a strong focus on model quality, evaluation frameworks, and reproducibility. Work closely with data engineers to ensure models are effectively integrated into production systems, with appropriate pipelines, monitoring, and lifecycle management. Apply sound judgement in selecting modelling approaches, balancing sophistication with interpretability, maintainability, and business value. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, communicating complex data science concepts clearly and influencing decision making at senior levels. Manage delivery timelines, risks, and priorities across engagements. Set the standard for data science excellence, including coding standards, documentation, and best practices. Mentor junior team members, supporting their development as data scientists. The most important requirement for this role is proven, hands on experience in Data Science. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of delivering end to end machine learning or statistical solutions in real world environments. Requirements 5+ years' experience in Data Science or applied machine learning, ideally in consulting, high growth, or commercial environments. Strong applied machine learning expertise, including: Model selection and development Feature engineering Evaluation and validation Deployment into production environments Demonstrated experience taking models beyond experimentation into operational, business critical systems. Strong background in statistics and quantitative problem solving. Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience writing production quality, maintainable code. Experience with modern data science tooling, including: Version control (Git) Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Experiment tracking and model management Workflow orchestration and containerisation Strong understanding of MLOps principles, including model monitoring, retraining, and lifecycle management. Proven ability to translate business problems into data science solutions that deliver measurable outcomes. Beneficial Exposure to Generative AI (e.g. LLMs, RAG) is beneficial but not a substitute for core data science expertise. Awareness of emerging AI paradigms (e.g. agent based systems) is a plus, but not required. We particularly value depth in applied data science areas such as: Customer analytics (segmentation, churn, LTV) Pricing and optimisation models Experimental design and causal inference Natural Language Processing (within a traditional ML framework as well as LLM based approaches) Other information If you feel that you would be a strong addition to our team, but you do not fully meet all the requirements above, we would like to encourage you to please apply anyway. As we expand, we are looking for individuals across all levels and maybe able to discuss a suitable alternative with you. JMAN is committed to equal employment opportunities. We are a diverse, high performing team and base all our employment decisions on merit, job requirements and business needs. We are seeking a Lead Engineer to head the next generation XiP Compute Service (XCS2) team. The team works across both Java and Python, and significant experience in at least one of these languages is required. In this role you will design, build, and maintain the future engine room of Citi's enterprise-scale XiNG Platform (XiP). You will be working on a Greenfield build of a major new component. The current generation of the product is responsible for 1.5 billion risk calculations at Citi every day. The next generation of the product is expected to double the customer base and bring in huge new workloads. You will work closely with other software engineers, DevOps, and our customers to define technical strategy and ensure the reliable, secure, and scalable operation of the platform. Responsibilities Take a lead in defining the long-term strategic direction of XiP: Apply your experience and skills to develop next generation of the XiP Compute Service - making it faster, utilising resources more efficiently, and scaling to even greater sizes. This means adding new features without impacting platform performance in an undesirable manner; small changes multiplied by millions of calculations carry a high cost. It also means solving hard engineering problems, such as transferring small amounts of data to a huge number of machines with minimal overhead. Collaborate with Stakeholders to Define Platform Capabilities: Partner closely with key business stakeholders, product owners, and end-users to deeply understand their requirements, define the platform's capabilities, and translate business needs into technical specifications and solutions. Drive the implementation of these capabilities, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and deliver maximum business value. An essential skill will be assessing user requirements against the overall strategy of the application - to ensure to maintain a balance between user needs and application philosophy. This will mean explaining to senior clients that some of their requests will not be accepted, and crucially why. Take on the day-to-day leadership of the development team responsible for the next generation of XiP: Lead the team's Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure a smooth and effective development workflow. Manage the project backlog, prioritize tasks, and coordinate development efforts to align with the product roadmap and strategic goals. Provide hands on technical leadership, guiding the team in architectural decisions, enforcing coding standards, and performing code reviews to maintain high-quality, robust, and scalable code. Serve as advisor or coach to team members, allocating and overseeing work: Mentor and guide developers, providing technical advice, code reviews, and career development support. Allocate tasks based on skill sets and project priorities, ensuring balanced workloads and timely delivery. Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment, encouraging best practices and continuous learning. Implement the new generation of Citi's Risk Calculation Engine: Participate in the design, development, and implementation of the next version of the XiP Risk Calculation Engine, focusing on understanding and fulfilling the needs of new platform customers. The current generation of the platform regularly parallelizes 250,000 hours of compute into a single 90-minute execution. Role: Product & Account Lead Contract: Contract 6-12 months, Hybrid (ASAP start) Salary: Competitive Location: Greater Oxford Area A note from the Founders Oxford Dynamics is at an inflection point. We have spent five years building AI and robotic systems for some of the most demanding environments in the world. We are now taking that technology into the private sector, and life sciences is where we are starting. The decisions we make now will define not just how fast we grow, but who we become. You will work closely with all the team. You will be trusted with judgment calls. You will influence the business. And you will see the impact of your work every day in the work we do. If you are excited by ownership, pace and purpose - and by building something that genuinely matters - we would love to hear from you. Who We Are Founded in 2020, Oxford Dynamics (OD) is a fast-growing UK deep-tech company developing AI and robotic systems designed to operate in mission-critical environments. Our flagship AVIS (A Very Intelligent System) AI framework fuses multi-modal data - text, imagery, telemetry and sensor feeds - enabling operators to interrogate complex information at speed and make better decisions under pressure. Our STRIDER robotic platform performs autonomous tasks in hazardous environments, protecting people while extending operational reach. Our ambition is simple but demanding: to converge AI and robotics so machines can sense, understand and act in complex, real-world environments. Alongside our defence and security work, we are building a private sector business applying the same technology to scientific and industrial problems. Our biotech partnership is the flagship of that effort - using AVIS to help researchers navigate vast, fragmented scientific data and get to answers faster. What you will be doing here / why this role matters Oxford Dynamics is a small team who rely on a collaborative and positive approach, and so the right attitude for this role is equally as important as experience. We are at an important stage and time in our growth, and as our Product & Account Lead you will be an essential part of our success. This is a role with a name on it. You will own our biotech account outright - the client relationship, the product, the team that builds it, and how the account performs commercially. You will be the person the client calls and the person our engineers look to for direction. There is no established playbook here; you will be writing it. If you are excited by owning a client relationship, shaping a product, and growing an account from first deployment to long-term partnership, this role is built for you! Role Summary Oxford Dynamics seeks a Product & Account Lead to own our biotech account end to end. You will hold the client relationship, set product priorities from client and market needs, direct the internal delivery team, and carry responsibility for the commercial performance and growth of the account. The role bridges cutting-edge AI and practical deployment, making sure what we build lands with real users, gets adopted, and turns into a scalable long-term partnership. This is a private sector role. No security clearance is required. Key Responsibilities Own the Biotech Account Act as the primary point of contact for the client, building trust at every level from day-to-day users through to senior stakeholders. Set and manage priorities with the client, keeping expectations, scope and commitments clear and realistic on both sides. Run communication end to end: regular updates, structured reviews, honest escalation when something slips, and no surprises. Own delivery into the account, from what is promised through to what actually ships and gets used. Take responsibility for overall account performance - health, satisfaction, renewal risk and commercial outcomes - and report on it to leadership. Lead the Product and Team Manage the internal team delivering the account, setting direction, sequencing work and keeping momentum going. Translate client feedback and market needs into a clear product roadmap, deciding what gets built next and why. Coordinate resources across engineering, AI, design and commercial functions, flagging constraints early and resolving competing demands. Ensure everyone is aligned on responsibilities and outcomes, so each person knows what they own and what good looks like. Partner with Tech Leads on design and architecture trade-offs, aligning what is technically ambitious with what the client actually needs. Drive Delivery and Scale Own project plans, milestones and deadlines, managing scope, risk and change control to deliver on time and within cost. Identify growth opportunities within the account and pursue them, expanding usage into new teams, workflows and use cases. Increase adoption and revenue, tracking the metrics that show the product is genuinely embedded in the client's work. Solve problems independently, making decisions with incomplete information and escalating with options rather than open questions. Build a scalable long-term account, replacing one-off effort with repeatable process so the relationship grows without breaking. Reporting and Ways of Working Run lightweight Agile ceremonies appropriate to the team, with clear acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes for each increment. Produce crisp client and leadership reporting, acting as the single point of contact to unblock issues across internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders. Oversee vendor and subcontractor deliverables, ensuring integrations meet contractual, performance and quality requirements. Uphold data handling, confidentiality and quality standards appropriate to working with sensitive commercial and scientific data. Skills and Experience 5+ years managing AI projects with multiple stakeholders, delivering production releases in fast-moving environments. Proven ownership of a client relationship end to end, including commercial responsibility for how that account performs. Background in biotech, pharma or life sciences - understanding the requirements of our customers and speaking their language. Track record translating customer and market needs into product priorities that engineering teams can execute. Experience leading or coordinating technical teams, with the credibility to discuss trade-offs with engineers. Comfortable around modern AI and software stacks - LLMs, RAG, data pipelines, Python and React or equivalent - without needing to write the code yourself. Strong scope, requirements and budget control, with practical command of milestones, risk and change control. Genuinely self-directed: comfortable operating without a playbook and building the process as you go. Preferred / Bonus Experience growing an account through expansion, upsell or renewal, with measurable adoption and revenue outcomes. Portfolio of shipped AI or software products with measurable outcomes and references you can point to. Familiarity with scientific or research data, or with regulated environments. Comfort presenting to senior stakeholders and contributing to business development activities and proposals. Soft Skills High-agency ownership from first conversation to long-term partnership, with a bias to clarity, iteration and decision-making under uncertainty. Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences - scientists, engineers and executives alike - enabling fast, safe progress across disciplines. Commercial instinct: able to spot where value sits for the client and turn that into growth for the account. Calm, structured problem-solving during incidents and changing constraints, with clear follow-through on actions and learning. What We Offer Join the most exciting growth area in the UK: AI and Robotics! Every member of the Oxford Dynamics team has a major impact on the products and services we provide. Regardless of job title, you'll get to make a real difference and learn from colleagues about all areas of our business. Benefits include: Competitive Day Rate - outside IR35 Flexible working hours Hybrid working model Generous 29 days holiday in addition to public holidays (Full Time Equivalent) Oxford Dynamics is committed to creating an inclusive team experience for all. Regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or parental status, we believe our work is at its best when everyone feels free to be their authentic self.
