This role operates as a governance and subject matter expert (SME) resource, providing structured support to IFM teams across EMEA in the delivery of small-scale capital projects - including building retrofits, refurbishments, workspace reconfigurations, and targeted facility improvements. This is not a traditional end-to-end project management role. The primary function is to enable local FM teams to deliver projects compliantly, safely, and frugally by providing governance oversight, procurement guidance, technical SME support, and structured project frameworks. Direct end-to-end project delivery will only apply in cases deemed critical, high-visibility, or where project complexity requires dedicated program-level management. The role sits within the EMEA Small Works Program and operates across a tiered delivery model: Reports to - EMEA Small Works Program Lead (Engineering). Governance & Compliance Oversight Provide governance support to FM teams delivering Tier 2 projects, ensuring adherence to the Small Works framework, CAPEX governance processes, and client standards. Support the triage process to ensure projects are correctly categorized within the tiered model and appropriately resourced. Ensure EHS, legislative, and legal compliance requirements are actively governed across all supported projects, spanning multiple EMEA jurisdictions. Monitor compliance with CDM regulations (where applicable), building regulations, health and safety requirements, and client-specific standards. Ensure workspace design standards and regulatory requirements are maintained throughout project delivery. SME Support & FM Team Enablement Act as a subject matter expert resource for FM teams managing Tier 2 projects - providing guidance on project methodology, sequencing, risk management, and technical approach. Provide procurement guidance to FM teams, ensuring competitive quotations are obtained from approved contractors and that works are delivered frugally within scope. Coordinate SME input where specialist technical knowledge is required (mechanical, electrical, building fabric, sustainability). Coach and support FM teams on the application of Small Works tools, templates, and governance standards for Tier 1 delivery. Act as an escalation point for FM teams encountering project challenges, scope changes, or compliance queries. Project Triage & Categorization Support the Small Works Program Lead in operating the triage process - assessing incoming project requests against complexity criteria to determine appropriate tier allocation. Identify projects at risk of scope misclassification and ensure early intervention to prevent cost overruns or delivery failures. Senior Architect - Email & Collaboration SecurityApplylocations: Great Britain - Londontime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R6496 Senior Solutions Architect - Email & Collaboration Security - London UK Why This Role Exists The Email & Collaboration Security (ECS) product line sits at the intersection of some of the most consequential challenges in enterprise security today: AI-augmented threats, sprawling collaboration surfaces, multi-cloud delivery complexity, and the expectation that detection and response capabilities keep pace with a threat landscape that does not wait. This architecture is not greenfield. It carries two decades of accumulated product decisions, integration contracts, and operational constraints. The right candidate understands why that history matters before proposing how to move beyond it. Reasoning about legacy shape and evolutionary trajectory simultaneously is not optional; it is the job.The successful candidate will serve as connective tissue across product management, engineering, and the broader Architecture Leadership Team - turning customer and business problems into coherent, deliverable technical direction, and owning the decisions that give ECS engineering teams a stable foundation to move fast with quality. AI-First Ways of Working Mimecast is an AI-first engineering organisation. This is not a cultural aspiration - it is an operating expectation. The person in this role is expected to use AI tools as a genuine, daily part of how they work: for design exploration and iteration, documentation, analysis, prototyping, and research synthesis. This means having a real, practised opinion on where AI tooling accelerates quality decisions and where it introduces risk. It also means designing systems that incorporate AI components thoughtfully: understanding the implications of LLM integration, agent boundaries, prompt and data-contract stability, and evaluation coverage for AI-driven features.Candidates who treat AI tooling as optional or experimental are not the right fit for this role. The expectation is fluency and daily practice, not passing familiarity. The ECS Domain ECS covers the following product and capability areas: Email threat detection and prevention Email security efficacy Collaboration security DMARC analyzer Data platform and observability Analysis and Response End user application integration Internal operations enablement What You Will Do Lead from Problem Space, Not Solution Space The role engages at the problem-framing stage, not after requirements have already hardened into tickets. This means facilitating workshops with PMs, UX, and engineers to surface real customer constraints and articulate what good looks like in business and user terms before any technical shape is proposed. Own Integration Contracts as Product Artefacts The durable interfaces - APIs, event contracts, data schemas - that connect ECS capabilities to the broader Mimecast platform are first-class artefacts owned by this role. They outlast individual features, and the coordination work that makes integrations actually land across teams and time is part of the remit. Build the Architectural Context Engineering Teams Operate Inside ADRs, service interaction patterns, NFR targets, and data contracts are not documentation - they are the substrate that lets engineering teams and AI-assisted development workflows make consistent decisions at scale. The artefacts produced in this role are clear, reasoned, and durable. Govern Without Blocking Governance is a mechanism for alignment and acceleration, not gatekeeping. Structure and discipline are introduced where they reduce risk or improve quality - and removed where ceremony adds cost without value. The role engages the Chief Architect early, pushes back constructively when platform standards do not fit the ECS context, and helps teams close decisions with conviction rather than endless review. Reason About Cost and Unit Economics Infrastructure choices are sized, cost trajectories modelled for new architecture work, and unexpected spend is flagged with a proposed remediation. The frame is cost per outcome - per protected mailbox, per remediated incident - not just monthly AWS spend. Communicate at Every Altitude A one-page decision record that lands with engineers, a solution brief that holds up under senior architecture review, a strategy narrative that resonates with product and commercial leadership - this role operates across all of those registers. Whiteboard sessions produce actual decisions, not just richer ambiguity. Reports to: Lead Contract Manager Deadline Note: We reserve the right to close the advert before the advertised deadline if there are a high volume of applications. Role Summary: The Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) is a private limited company wholly owned by the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero. We play a key role in the transformation of the UK's electricity system by ensuring future supply is secure, low-carbon, and affordable as the UK progresses towards Net Zero 2050. We are the counterparty to the Contracts for Difference (CfD). The CfD is a scheme through which low-carbon generation is supported to compete with conventional fossil fuel generation. The CfD Scheme currently has over 500 CfD Agreements, spanning different technologies such as offshore wind, floating offshore wind, onshore wind, solar, tidal stream, geothermal, remote island wind, advanced conversion technology, and biomass conversion. At LCCC, we further support the Government's net zero ambitions through the development of contractual mechanisms that make First of a Kind (FOAK) projects investable, attracting billions of pounds of investments. We are the counterparty to contracts for Hydrogen, Carbon Capture, Utilisation & Storage (CCUS), and Nuclear schemes, and will be the counterparty to a growing range of other new and bespoke schemes such as, Greenhouse Gas Removal (GGR), Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), and other government-mandated programmes. We are responsible for ensuring these schemes are constructed and operated as intended, preserving value for money for government and consumers, whilst maintaining investors' confidence. We exist to help decarbonise the generation of electricity and make it more affordable for the future. Our work is central to the delivery of the Government's objective to achieve Net Zero target by 2050. Senior Contract Managers are responsible for the day-to-day relationship and contract management of their assigned portfolio of contracts. They take a leading role in the resolution of complex contractual and commercial issues, drawing on their experience to provide guidance to less experienced colleagues, and supporting the development of contract management capability through coaching, mentoring and where applicable, line management responsibilities. Given that LCCC is a not-for-profit organisation, this is not a typical contract or commercial management role. Performance is not measured against a bottom line, but instead by two guiding principles: to maintain investors' confidence in the schemes and to minimise cost to consumers, whilst enabling the delivery of the projects. Under each individual contract we share common objectives with our counterparties, and based on the long-term nature of the contracts, relationship management is a significant part of the Senior Contract Manager's role. Interaction with counterparties is frequent during the contract lifecycle (20+ years), and particularly during the initial 4-5 years, when projects are going through the development and construction phases. Senior Contract Managers often communicate with their respective counterparties on a weekly/fortnightly basis when they are close to achieving contractual milestones, and less frequently once the projects are in operation. Site visits to each project are also undertaken at least once a year and provide a unique opportunity to gain exposure to several leading-edge technologies implemented as part of the multimillion/billion GBP projects. The Senior Contract Managers also lead wider Scheme Delivery Team and LCCC initiatives, and regularly interface with both internal (Legal, Data & Analytics, Finance, etc.) and external (Ofgem, EMRS, DESNZ etc.) stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Enabling the delivery of contracts, from signature into operations, so that the project delivers its low carbon energy (renewable power generation, hydrogen production, CCUS) Day-to-day relationship and contract management of assigned contracts (circa 20 projects, ranging in value from c.£50m to £1bn) and associated workload and tasks, including site visits, communications and document management, and reporting Owning and managing all contractual processes and issues, including taking a leading role in the resolution of complex contractual matters, identifying and resolving potential disputes, and escalating emerging issues or suggested improvements when appropriate Applying judgement to the management of the contracts, based on LCCC's overarching interpretation of the contract and in line with LCCC guidance Working collaboratively with counterparties to satisfy contract requirements and project management to enable the commencement of payments under the respective contract Understanding the financial and technical analysis and being able to competently procure and manage external advisers to conduct this on LCCC's behalf where necessary Providing analysis and advice in relation to existing and/or new schemes or other LCCC functions Advising on contractual and relationship management matters and supporting the development of junior members of the team (Contract Managers and Assistant Contract Managers) through coaching, mentoring, and where applicable, line management of up to two direct reports Skills Knowledge and Expertise Essential A self-starting technical / commercial contract manager with relevant commercial experience of the operational delivery of construction or energy projects. Operational contract management experience should include, contract: reviews negotiation change management and administration claim/dispute management and settlement technical knowledge of engineering in wind, solar, biomass, waste, tidal stream, hydrogen, CCUS or related / comparable technologies Demonstrable ability to maintain multiple stakeholder relationships and undertake stakeholder management. Experience of relevant legal, regulatory and contract management issues. Commercial acumen with experience of analysing and developing solutions to collaboratively solving complex commercial and contractual issues (multiple £m's) whilst maintaining relationships. Excellent communication and influencing skills (verbal, written, presentation) enabling the clear explanation of complex commercial and contractual issues. Desirable Relevant experience in power generation, hydrogen, CCUS or the Energy Sector Good understanding of the current UK energy policy landscape and regulations, including power and renewables sectors, as well as of hydrogen and CCUS.
