As an SEN Teacher with an English specialism, you will play a key role in delivering this provision, using language and literacy to support communication, engagement, and academic progress. You will design and deliver structured yet flexible English programmes tailored to pupils with SEND, teaching on a one-to-one and small-group basis. Your work will focus on functional communication, literacy development, and transferable skills that support learning across the curriculum and beyond. Teaching will be informed by assessment, professional judgement, and a clear understanding of each pupil's learning profile. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to personalised learning pathways and help create a consistent, supportive educational environment. Safeguarding, wellbeing, and progress will remain central to your practice at all times.
