Promote critical thinking and problem solving, especially in maths, science, and enquiry-based subjects. Differentiate and scaffold learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including high attainers, SEND learners, and those needing additional support. Assess pupils' progress through formative and summative methods and use assessment to inform future planning and provision. Provide effective feedback, both verbal and written, to move learning forward. Manage classroom behaviour using consistent, positive strategies that promote independence and responsibility. Prepare pupils for end of key-stage assessments and transition to secondary school. Communicate regularly with parents/carers, including through reports, meetings, and informal updates. Collaborate with colleagues, including phase teams, subject leads, and support staff, to ensure a cohesive curriculum. Support pupils' personal, social, and emotional development by fostering resilience, confidence, and positive relationships. Lead or contribute to extracurricular activities, clubs, trips, and wider school events. Maintain accurate records, such as assessment data, intervention logs, and behaviour notes.
