Cover Supervisor/ HLTA Cardiff Prospero teaching are working with a Welsh medium secondary School in Cardiff. Your role is to build a connection with the young people and act and a mentor and role model for the students as well as leading classes and organising tasks throughout the day. You must have a strong cover supervisor, TA or Tutoring background with students. The role will see you using lots of mentoring skills (similar to that used in sports, drama, counselling) to help the individual engage with the school. You will support the pupil in the classroom and out of the classroom on a more vocational basis. The position is open to all experienced and those who have a strong background in mentoring children and young adults. Depending on performance, the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location Cardiff Position Cover Supervisor/ HLTA Contract or position start date: asap Duration / Likely Duration Full academic Year Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary - Permanent Full time/part time Full time Minimum rate of pay GBP105 per day Hours Mon Fri (term time only) EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in a similar setting LEVEL 3 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
