The Senior Quantity Surveyor role: As a seasoned Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of construction / fit out projects by overseeing the financial aspects from inception to completion upstream with our clients and downstream with the Supply Chain. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the costs associated with high profile/value construction projects, ensuring that they remain within budget while meeting quality and regulatory standards. Main responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor include: Manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects from pre-contract through to final account. Monthly CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) process. Tender preparation, submission and project completion in compliance with all HSQE procedures. Provide commercial expertise to contracts, to include the production and submission of valuations, claims, and budget monitoring. Support the authorisation and submission of project variations. To authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, material and plant orders Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers Ensure projects proceed to Client s specification and satisfaction. Value work executed by sub-contractors and certify interim and final payments. Track changes to the work / design and adjust budget projections accordingly. Our ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor will have the below skills and experience: Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a background in various sectors, fit-out preferred, and a strong background on the contractor side. Proven ability to manage high-value projects independently. Strong contractual and commercial acumen (JCT/NEC experience a plus). Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying desirable. Professional accreditation not essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. High Level of Microsoft Package knowledge, COINS package (desirable not essential, as full training will be provided).
