Year 6 Teacher - key responsibilities: Teaching a class within Upper Key Stage 2. Leading a curriculum subject area (excluding Maths or English) - leadership responsibility not required for ECTs. Delivering and adapting the National Curriculum creatively and confidently. Actively participating in wider school life, including community events and enrichment activities. Year 6 Teacher - candidate requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Proven experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2. Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to high standards of pupil achievement and behaviour. Ability to plan, deliver, and adapt high-quality lessons across the curriculum. Experience leading a curriculum subject area (not required for ECTs). Commitment to promoting an inclusive learning environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
