You'll join the team to ensure the manufacturing environment is clean and tidy to prevent hazards in the working environment. To achieve this, you'll be: Sweeping and cleaning the floor areas, emptying bins, removing general rubbish and maintaining a clean and tidy back yard area and associated walkways at all times. Monitoring and removing daily swarf bins from the machines within the machining cells and dispose of swarf into separate re-cycling. Remove coolant and clean out machine sumps and wet vacuum hoovers and reporting any coolant or oil leaks to the supervision / maintenance team. Cleaning the outside of machines on a regular basis with the appropriate cleaning materials. Notifying the supervisors when the main skips are nearing full capacity for replacements to be delivered. Characteristics & Skills General industrial cleaning duties gained from working in a manufacturing environment. Recycling procedures i.e. metals, plastics etc. General H&S awareness working within a manufacturing environment. Forklift Truck and or Robur Pallet Truck license would be an advantage. Comfortable working under time pressures to balance priorities to agreed deadlines. Excellent team player and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, repairing and maintenance of boilers, plate packs, and pumps. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain and service boilers and associated ancillaries. Carry out routine service on equipment in accordance with planned maintenance timelines.
